Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an inexpensive system for a plant which requires both typical sequence control of a sequencer and typical computer control of a computer, by allowing one data processor to make the switching between the both through software.
CONSTITUTION: As instructions attaining the switching between a computer and sequencer, this data processor is provided with instruction SEQ changing a computer mode over to a sequencer mode and instruction RET changing the sequencer mode over to the computer mode. During the feeding of power, the processor is in the computer mode and instruction SEQ inverts a switching flip-flop, so that the processor will change into the sequencer. Instruction RET is provided to the end of a sequence program, so that the processor will return to the computer after a series of sequence processes. Namely, processes are executed with the time-division switching of modes.
