Abstract

PURPOSE: To avoid the increment of both the software and the memory capacity by reading out the character pattern through the character generator which converts the character code into the desired character pattern and then writing the read-out character pattern into the memory.
CONSTITUTION: Memory 4 which features the 1:1 relation to the CRT display screen and memorizes the graphic pattern or the character code. In addition to memory 4, character generator 7 is installed to convert the character code into the desired character pattern through selection of address selector 5 and 6. Thus, in case the character patterns are further piled in the state under which memory 4 memorizes the graphic pattern, the address of generator 7 is designated by control at control part 2. Then the character pattern is read out from generator 7 and then written into memory 4. In this way, the character patterns are piled with no increment of the software and the memory capacity.
