Abstract
PURPOSE: To make coordinate conversion of tracking error signals, etc. of four- focusing-reflecting mirror system simply and surely by generating sine and cosine AC signals corresponding to the rotating angles of a revolving shaft, converting the same to sine and cosine DC signals and making their multiplication by the converted coordinates.
CONSTITUTION: The azimuth, elevation rotating angles θAZ, θEL of an antenna device 1 are detected with a synchro transmitter 15 and a synchro differential transformer 16, then the AC signals whose amplitudes are proportional to Sin(θAZ+ θEL), Cos(θAZ+θEL) are generated from a synchro control transformer 17. These signals are converted to DC voltages by demodulating circuits 18, 19. The DC voltages are then applied to multipliers 20 thru 23 to which the tracking angle error signals Ex, Ey of the converted signals are applied, after which said voltages are processed in an adder 25 and a subtrater 24, by which the tracking error signals EAZ, EEL which have been converted to the azimuth-elevation coordinates based on the formula (1) are calculated. Thereby the need for servo mechanism, slip rings, etc. is eliminated.
