Abstract

PURPOSE: To endow transfer paper with high electric resistance and to enhance transfer performance of static images developed with a magnetizable developing powder, by processing a water-soluble glycidyl ether compound.
CONSTITUTION: An aqueous solution of polyethyleneglycol glycidyl ether or the like water-soluble glycidyl ether derivative is coated on high quality paper to give an attachment amount of 0.2 to 10 g/m2, or it may be impregnated. The transfer paper processed thus exhibits superior transferability under wide ranged environmental conditions of 5 to 85 % relative humidity at 20°C. Use of a compound reacting with the above compound and accelerating cross-linking, such as Zn(BF4)2 or amines in combination with this further renders that effect remarkable; permitting it to be used even under environmental conditions of 5 to 95 % relative humidity.
