Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the generation of peak shifts by applying the high current pulses of the same direction as that of the previous bit to write current even for the ''0'' information of binary signals. CONSTITUTION:When an FF 5 is inverted at each pulse corresponding to each bit by the write current W D-0 of zero track, the direction of the current flowing in a head 7 is changed by way of comparators 6, 6'. On the other hand, the current W D-0 is applied to a monostable circuit 8 to become the pulse current of a specified width. This current is then applied to a negative OR gate 11. To this gate 11 are also applied the pulse currents of other tracks and since parity signals are also contained therein, there is always an input at every writing period in the circuit 11. Through the circuit 11, a transistor 10 also conducts when the write signal is binary information ''0''. Hence, the high current of the same direction as that of the previous bit is applied to the head 7 even when the write information is ''0'', thus the peak shifts at the high density recording where the length of 1 bit is smaller than the thickness of the magnetic layer are reduced and magnetic erasing of the recording information is prevented.
