Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the image quality of reconstructed image, by inverting the correlation between the image point position in the reconstructed image and the space frequency in the hologram to record the reconstructed image with respect to the correlation between the object point position in the subject and the original hologram.
CONSTITUTION: A hologram plate 6 recording the original hologram of the subject 3 is disposed on the object field focal plane of a Fourier transforming lens 4, and a reconstructed image 31 is reconstructed on the image field focal plane of the lens 4 by means of a reconstruction light 8. The position of this reconstructed image 31 is made to coincide with the object field focal plane of a second Fourier transforming lens 9, and a hologram recording medium 10 is provided in coincidence with this image field focal plane. The luminous flux reconstructing the reconstructed image 31 is focused on the recording medium 10, and a reference light 11 is radiated in a determined direction with respect to an optical axis 7 so that the correlation between the image point position in the reconstructed image and the space frequency in the hologram on the hologram plate 10 may be reverse to the correlation between the object point position (x) on the subject 3 and the space frequency (v) in the original hologram. Thus, a new hologram is obtained.
