Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a method of splicing pipes wherein the lower balance of a connecting pipe to an established pipe in inserting and splicing pipes is detected by the movement of a pointer, which is fixed at the end of the connecting pipe on a side opposite to the connecting side, in relation to a scale.
CONSTITUTION: A pointer 16 and a scale 17 are set in such a condition that a connecting pipe 4 is positioned approximately concentrically with an established pipe 5. The pointer 16 is fixed by means of a magnet 15 at the end of the connecting pipe 4. The connecting pipe 4 and the extablished pipe 5 are set approximately concentrically when the scale 17 positions at a fixed place, that is, a projected section of the pointer 16 positions approximately in the center of sections facing each other of the scale 17. Then, the connecting pipe 4 suspended by a crane so as to insert between the sections facing each other of the scale 17 is caused to fall straightly so as to position the connecting pipe 4 in an approximately concentric place with the established pipe 5, and a faucet 2 may be brought into contact with an insertion port 3.
