Abstract

PURPOSE: To effectively prevent a band-shaped exothermic element from becoming slack due to thermal expansion by making one of supports of a magnet so that the exothermic element may be attracted by the magnetic force of the magnet supports.
CONSTITUTION: Containers 1 and 2 are arranged at a spacing to face each other through a conveyor passage of recording paper. There are arranged inside of the containers 1 and 2 both supports 3a and 3b, which are made of a refractory insulating material such as ceramics, and magnet supports 4a and 4b which are made of a permanent magnet material having a high electric resistivity such as ferrite. Those supports 3a, 3b and 4a, 4b are arranged at a spacing to face each other. Between the supports 3a, 3b and 4a, 4b a plurality of band-shaped exothermic elements 5 which are made of a magnetic material such as nichrome and which are arranged in parallel and at a right angle with respect to the moving direction of recording paper. The exothermic elements 5 have their one side ends fixed to the supports 3a and 3b and their other ends magnetically supported on the supports 4a and 4b. Thus, it is possible to effectively prevent the slackness due to the thermal expansion.
