PURPOSE: Pyridone derivs. I (R1 is lower alkyl, benzyl or allyl;R2 is H, lower alkoxy, lower alkylthio, lower alkylamino, 4-lower alkylpiperazine-1-yl; when R2 is halogen and R1 is lower alkyl, the pheny bonds at the O-position), e. g. 6-(2-dimethylaminoethylamino)-1-methyl-4-phenyl-2-pyridone.
