Abstract

PURPOSE: To separate and remove heavy metals such as Hg economically by addn. of a specific amount of alkali sulfide to the solution, which has beenused for the treatment of exhaut combustion gas and made alkaline, in order to convert the heavy metals entirely into sulfides. After addn. of suitable amount of iron salt to the solution, the soln. is filtrated and the filtrate is made acidic and is treated with activated carbon and adsorbent.
