Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide an apparatus capable of attaching and detaching the cover plate of containers, in which projected teeth and recessed teeth adapted for engagement with said projected teeth are provided on both sides of the opening of a container and a cover plate for closing the opening, and a means for holding the cover plate in its closed position is provided between said opening and the cover plate, whereby it is enabled to automatically attach and detach the cover plate and thus cover-plate attaching and detaching operation can be rendered highly efficient.
