Abstract
PURPOSE: To carburize and activate rice hulls by adding a specified amt. of ≥80% sulfuric acid to the rice hulls to which CaO or other alkali has been optionally added or by heating the rice hulls to a specified temp. while blowing steam so as to provide activated carbon with high adsorption power and low flow resistance in a tower.
