PURPOSE: To provide a water treating apparatus, in which air is supplied under pressure when water to be treated is introduced on filler material which is filled in an air-tight in several layers and has microbes attached to the surface, and the compressed air is passed through the layers of filler materials together with water to be treated, whereby microbe oxidizing capacity at the lower portion of the filler layers can be improved.
