Abstract
PURPOSE:To remarkably improve the wear resistance of a cutting chip by forming a TiC or one of TiN and TiCN layer, a second Al2O3 layer, and a third TiO2 or TiO2-Al2O3 solid solution layer on the surface of the cutting chip made of hard alloy.
