Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a strut type independent suspension system for automobiles, in which supporting points of suspension arm are placed respectively on the line perpendicular to the line extended between wheel centers and on a line making a predetermined angle with respect to the wheel center line, and these supporting points are placed on parallel lines, whereby lengthwise forces exerted by the suspension arm onto the body frame are removed and thus structure of the suspension system can be simplified.
