Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the follow-up characteristics of a fuel-air ratio control system by specifying: (a) the range of fuel-air ratio controlled by proportional-part signals which are proportional to the changes in deviation of the exhaust gas sensor output from the set point, and (b) the range of fuel-air ratio controlled by integrated-part signals which are obtained by integrating the deviation signals.
