Abstract

PURPOSE: Cooled SOx-cont. flue gas is contacted with red mud slurry at below 100°C and the slurry discharged at pH≥6 is mixed with cooling water which has been contacted with the flue gas to improve absorbing rate of SOx and eluting rate of Na2O in the red mud.
