Abstract

PURPOSE: By providing several anchors a floating (or stationary) ship is moored in such a manner that all the anchors are respectively tied to bow and stern through pairs of cables so that the ship becomes able to turn around 180° freely minimizing external force applied to the ship due to wind and waves, etc. By employing this mooring method it is possible to prevent discontinuation of loading or unloading operation due to rolling of the ship.
