Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide artificial timber having excellent antibacterial properties without considering the hygiene by mixing an inorganic or organic antibacterial agent into at least a surface layer of a synthetic resin layer made of a foamable synthetic resin. SOLUTION: A synthetic resin layer 1 is made of a foamable synthetic resin. The resin is prepared by mixing the resin with a suitable foaming agent. The layer 1 is mixed not only an antibacterial agent except the foaming agent but also suitable wood powder, a flame retardant, a filler, pigment, a plasticizser, a stabilizer, a foaming assistant, an ultraviolet absorber and/or the like as needed. As the antibacterial agent to be mixed with the layer 1, an inorganic ion exchanger such as zeolite or the like, an inorganic antibacterial agent such as silver, copper, zinc or the like carried to a porous material, an organic antibacterial agent such as a suitable chloride or the like, or an inorganic and organic composite antibacterial agent by a holding compound or encapsulizing is used.

When the synthetic resin layer 1 is molded by an extruder, the synthetic resin raw material in the mold is preferably heated uniformly. However, when the synthetic resin layer 1 contains a foaming agent, If a slightly high-temperature part and a slightly low-temperature part are partially generated, the foamed state of the synthetic resin layer 1 can be made dense and dense, and the surface of the synthetic resin layer 1 can be made more wood-like.

As means for providing the non-slip layer 3 on the surface of the synthetic resin layer 1, for example, a plurality of grooves 13 are formed at appropriate intervals on the surface of the synthetic resin layer 1, and the non-slip layer 3 is formed in the grooves 13. In this case, the dimensions of the groove 13 are 1 to 10 mm in width, 3 to 10 mm in depth, and the dimension between adjacent grooves 13 is about 3 to 50 mm. The cross-sectional shape of the concave groove 13 may be square, semicircular, or the like. However, when the groove 13 is formed in a dovetail shape, it is preferable that the anti-slip layer 3 embedded in the concave groove 13 does not easily come off. Further, the concave grooves 13 may be all parallel to the surface of the base material 1 and may be linear, but may meander appropriately, or the width and depth of the concave grooves 13 may be irregular.

When the synthetic resin layer 1 is usually molded by a molding machine, the anti-slip layer 3 may be filled and integrated into a groove 13 formed on the surface of the synthetic resin layer 1 by simultaneous molding.
Alternatively, the groove 13 of the synthetic resin layer 1 after molding may be separately filled and integrated. At this time, the anti-slip layer 3 may be exactly fit in the groove 13, but preferably slightly protrudes from the edge of the groove 13. In addition, the concave groove 1 of the synthetic resin layer 1
When filling the anti-slip layer 3 into the anti-slip layer 3, the anti-slip layer 3 may be directly filled or may be filled with an adhesive.
