Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple method for applying a fertilizer properly in appropriate amounts in a plant raising operation such as potting, without being bothered by offensive odor and/or insects attracted by such odor. SOLUTION: A fertilizer to be used for plant raising is previously divided into batches each corresponding to a single application and each of the batches is encapsulated in a water-soluble paper bag 1; the fertilizer thus divided are inserted, together with the bags, into the soil 3 in e.g. a flowerpot 4, thus ensuring the fertilizer to be easily and properly applied.
