Bleaching compositions containing fragrances selected to mask bleach odor
Field of the invention
The present invention is specifically directed to masking the "bleach" odor associated with bleaching compositions.
And a bleaching composition containing a selected perfume. More specifically, the present invention
Is a bleach, bleach activator and effectively masks the odor of the composition before and during use
The present invention relates to a bleaching composition containing a perfume.
Background of the Invention
Effective and efficient use of textiles before and / or during typical fabric washing processes
The use of bleaching compositions that can provide effective surface bleaching has long been a consumer practice.
Met. There are many categories of breaches known in the art. Various present interest
Among the chlorine release bleach used, inorganic peroxygen bleach and organic
Peroxygen or peroxyacid bleach is most common. Chlorine release yellowtail
Are their tendency to weaken or degrade, for example, the fabrics,
The tendency to react with other components in the product, and those that fade in many dyed fabrics
It has certain disadvantages associated with their use, such as the general trend. In addition
Under some bleaching conditions, chlorine bleach causes yellowing of certain synthetic fabrics.
Inorganic peroxygen bleach overcomes many of the shortcomings of chlorine bleach
But they must be used at relatively high temperatures, such as above 85 ° C
In this respect, it has restrictions on use. This drawback reduces energy costs
In countries where low washing temperatures, usually below about 60 ° C, are used to extend the life of the fabric,
It becomes serious from the viewpoint of cleaning work. Moreover, this problem is caused by the fact that especially dirty fabrics
When used to “soak,” it invalidates the product.
With the addition of a peroxygen bleach activator, also known as
It is usually necessary to improve the low temperature performance of inorganic peroxygen bleach.
Many replace perchlorinated chlorine and inorganic peroxygen bleach with
Oxygen or peroxyacid bleach alone or in combination with bleach activator
Was used. Various types containing peroxygen bleach and active agents for it
Detergent compositions containing products, such as bleach / bleach activator systems, and detergent compositions
Separately added bleached products have been used. Other bleaching compositions include:
Used as a "pre-soak" product for heavily soiled fabrics
There is The detergent and bleaching compositions already mentioned can also be used in this way.
You. When used, pre-soaked products or other bleach-containing products may have a strong “brief”
For 20 to 30 minutes (or longer) when the odor is released from the cleaning solution,
Dirty fabric in cleaning solution typically contained in a butt, sink or similar open container
And require users to soak bleach-containing products. Consumers like this
The bleach odor, which is easily detectable, can cause discomfort,
Worse when containing bleach. The problem is peroxygen bleach
And the products containing the activator therefor were very prominent.
Therefore, despite the disclosure in the art, bleach, bleach activator and
The bleaching composition containing a fragrance that effectively masks the odor of such components is necessary.
There is still need. When the composition is used as a presoak product,
Effectively reduces bleach and bleach activator odors even when
There is also a need for such compositions that contain a perfume to mask.

However, bleach activators can be used, for example, from aqueous hydrogen peroxide to
It is thought that percarboxylic acid undergoes nucleophilic attack to form percarboxylic acid. This reaction
It is commonly referred to in the art as perhydrolysis.
The second type present in the wash is diacyl peroxide (herein "DA

Nevertheless, peroxygen bleach is thought to be more effective. As a result,
Luxygen bleach has the same level of peroxygen bleach alone.
It may be small in obtaining surface bleaching performance.
In a preferred embodiment, the bleach activator used in the granular detergent composition comprises the following:
Has the general formula:
Wherein R is a straight or branched alkyl group having about 1 to 11 carbon atoms;

Nucleophilic attack on bleach activators by nonions, ie the consequences of the perhydrolysis reaction
Is any group substituted from the bleach activator.
Usually, suitable leaving groups are electrophilic and the rate of reverse reaction is insignificant.
It is fixed. This promotes nucleophilic attack by perhydroxide anions. Leaving groups are examples
For example, during a wash cycle, it may not be sufficiently reactive for the reaction to occur in the best time frame.
I have to. However, if the leaving group is too reactive, the bleach activator will be safe.

To facilitate a better understanding of the invention, it is for the purpose of illustration only, and not limitation of the scope.
The following example is referred to.
Example I
This example illustrates three perfume formulations according to the present invention. Specifically, in Table I
Shows perfume formulations A, B and C suitable for use in the compositions of the present invention.
Example II-IV
These examples are within the scope of the present invention, and include several of the perfume formulations of Example I.
Are shown.
The compositions shown in Table II are made by conventional detergent processing techniques. In particular,
Mix the base granule ingredients together as a slurry and spray dry in a tower
To make granules. The dry ingredients are then mixed with the granules and the liquid ingredients are sprayed on
To make the final composition. On the other hand, various liquid and dry components are aggregated to form
You can get the mass and spray on or mix the remaining ingredients as appropriate
.
Example V-X
These examples illustrate some compositions that are within the scope of the present invention.
The compositions shown in Table III are made according to the process described in Examples II-IV above.
.
Although the present invention has been described in detail, various modifications may depart from the scope of the invention.
Without doing so, and the present invention is not deemed to be limited to what is described in the specification.
Will be apparent to those skilled in the art.
