Prosthesis and knee joint of prosthesis
Technical field
The invention consists of one or more single pivots, with the lower leg corresponding to the upper leg.
One side is attached to the upper leg so that it can rotate from the extended position of the prosthesis to the bending position
The present invention relates to a prosthesis with a knee joint, which is attached to the lower leg on the other side. This
For prostheses like this, those who have their upper legs left only because their legs have been severed
Used by each. In this case, it is necessary to provide a mounting envelope for the cut end of the upper leg.
At the upper leg of the foot, the prosthesis is attached to the upper leg. This type of knee joint has a single pivot
Includes an axis, but many other configurations are also possible to streamline the flexion of the joint
is there.
Background art
The prosthesis is used for walking and uses the swing created by the cut end of the upper leg
Can be After the prosthesis is placed on the ground in the forward direction, swing the extended prosthesis back
This causes one step of walking. Subsequently, the leg cut ends are swung forward again.
When the prosthesis is bent, it swings forward again in the bent state, and then the prosthesis moves to the next
Is placed on the ground again in an extended state to produce one step of walking.
During the movement, the prosthetic limb is used for walking because the cut end of the upper leg exerts force on the prosthesis.
During this time it is kept in an essentially extended state. When the upper leg is not held in the correct position,
For example, if the user swings too slowly backwards, it is too early,
There is a risk that the prosthesis will flex before moving with the foot.
Disclosure of the invention
The aim of the present invention is to have a higher stability during walking, and consequently
To provide a prosthesis that reduces fatigue and reduces the risk of stepping while walking.
You.
To achieve the above objective, the knee joint is moved from a substantially extended position to a flexed position.
When moving, the lower leg and upper leg first separate from each other to temporarily extend the prosthesis.
It is configured to have a length. As a result, a person's weight is completely or partially justified.
As long as the foot is supported, bending of the prosthesis requires a small load on the prosthesis
Requires more force than. The force needed to start bending the prosthesis is
Varies according to the weight supported by the prosthesis. As a result, the prosthesis in the extended position is
In order to bend the legs during the part of the walk performed, said part of the walk is completed
The weight of the person rests on the other leg and the prosthesis moves forward again
Requires more effort than it can be rocked.
The present invention provides that the lower leg is rotatable in a plane substantially perpendicular to the upper leg,
The joint comprises four pivots extending substantially perpendicular to said plane, of which two
The lower leg pivots occupy a fixed position relative to the lower leg, and the two upper leg pivots are the upper leg
And the position of the pivot axis in the plane is not fixed with a fixed length side.
Connecting elements pivotally connect each lower leg pivot to the upper leg pivot to form a constant square
The upper leg pivot axis is closer to the lower leg than the lower leg pivot axis at the extension position of the prosthesis
Is realized by a prosthetic device in which the pivot axis is arranged to be positioned
. The term pivot axis as used in this description means a geometric axis.
, One or more physical axes for each part to rotate
Is actually formed.
As a result of this shape of the arrangement according to the invention, the upper leg is such that the prosthesis is in its extended position.
So that in some cases tension is placed on the aforementioned connecting element in the middle of the pivot axis in question
, So to speak, suspended in the lower legs. When the prosthesis is bent, the indefinite square
Further distorted into a stretched shape, resulting in two lower legs when viewed vertically
The pivot axis is closer to the two upper leg pivot axes, and the lower leg and upper leg at the beginning of the bending motion
Are slightly separated from each other.
According to another feature of the invention, when viewed in the extended position of the leg in the aforementioned vertical plane,
The distance between the leg pivots is greater than the distance between the lower leg pivots, or
The mutual distance between the two pivot axes is greater than the mutual distance between the upper two pivot axes. This
As a result, when the prosthesis is flexed, the lower leg
The legs remain relatively slightly behind.
The present invention relates to a prosthesis and a knee joint used in the prosthesis. One of the present invention
According to features, the knee joint is composed of a first trunk and a second trunk, wherein the trunk is
A connecting element connects the backbones so as to be rotatable with respect to each other;
The first trunk is at least partially surrounded by said second trunk,
The first trunk extends into the second trunk. Therefore, the lower leg is forward
The upper leg is attached to the first trunk, and the upper leg is attached to the second trunk.
preferable. This will be described in more detail in a later embodiment.
According to another feature of the invention, three connecting elements are provided and in the extended position
Looking in the direction of walking with the legs, one connecting element causes the two front pivots to
Two further pivots are interconnected by two interconnected and spaced apart connecting elements.
Interconnected. Therefore, at least during flexion of the prosthesis, the presence of three connecting elements
A more fully stable connection is ensured, with the first backbone moving between the two latter connecting elements.
You can move.
According to yet another feature of the invention, one of the trunks is provided with a stop, and
In the extended position, the other trunk or connecting element abuts against this stop
Can be The stop can adjust the extension position of the prosthesis according to the wearer's personal preference.
Adjustable to ensure a stable position for all settings.
The prosthesis is provided with spring means to press the prosthesis to the extended position of the knee joint. Previous
The spring is a coil spring or gas spring, one end of which is a lower leg or
It is attached to the upper leg and the other end is connected to the appropriate part of the knee joint. This
The eel spring allows the prosthesis to reach its extended position before walking on the ground during walking.
Easy to return.
Other features of the invention used separately or in combination
Is disclosed in the description of the drawings and is defined in the claims.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES
Hereinafter, examples of the knee joint and the operation of the prosthesis will be described with reference to the drawings.
I will explain.
FIG. 1 is a front view of the knee joint.
FIG. 2 is a rear view of the knee joint.
FIG. 3 is a sectional view taken along the line III-III in FIG.
FIG. 4 is a plan view of the knee joint.
FIG. 5 is a bottom view of the knee joint.
FIG. 6 is a diagram showing the operation of the prosthesis.
7 to 11 are perspective views of the knee joint according to FIGS. 1 to 5. FIG.
The drawings are merely schematic representations of the examples, and similar parts may be different in different drawings.
Are given the same number.
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
A first joint for attaching a knee joint of a prosthesis to a lower leg of a knee joint according to the present invention.
Means 1 and second fastening means 2 for attaching the knee joint to the upper leg of the prosthesis
ing. The fastening means 1, 2 can be configured in a variety of different states,
In an embodiment, the fastening means comprises a clamp in the correspondingly formed part of each leg.
Formed so that they can be mounted or joined in different ways
You. Of course, screw connections or bolt connections or similar methods are possible as well
.
In the embodiment, the first fastening means 1 is a first trunk extending into the second trunk 4.
The second main unit is partially connected to the first main unit 3 so to speak.
ing. Therefore, the front surface 5 of the second main unit 4 is located on the front side beyond the upper end of the first main unit 3.
It extends to the upper leg pivot 6, where the front connecting element 7 pivots to the backbone 4.
Fixed.
The other end of the front connection element 7 is pivotally connected to the first trunk 3 at the position of the front lower leg pivot shaft 8.
Fixed.
There are two posterior connecting elements 9 on the posterior side of the knee joint, one of which
Is pivotally attached to the first trunk 3 at the location of the rear lower leg pivot shaft 10, while
At the rear upper leg pivotal support shaft 11, it is pivotally fixed to the second trunk 4.
As is particularly apparent from FIG. 3, when the main unit 4 is kept stationary,
The backbone 3 can rotate to the right, the pivots 6 and 11 remain stationary
On the other hand, the pivot shafts 8 and 10 follow the rotational movement of the trunk 3.
In the extended position of the knee joint as shown in the figure, the front connecting element 7 is the stop 1
2 and the stopper 12 is fixed to the backbone 4 and
The backbone 3 is prevented from turning to the left (FIG. 3). As a result, the connecting element 6 is
In contrast, when viewed in FIG. 3, it can be rotated only to the right. The stop is, for example, one
One knee for the same purpose, such as hitting a stop on the other
Provided on other parts of the clause. If desired, stop 12 should be personal
Adjustment screw or other hand to slightly adjust the extension of the prosthesis depending on your preference
Steps may be provided.
FIG. 6 schematically shows the bending motion of the prosthesis. This figure shows the six places in a row.
The upper leg and the lower leg are triangles 15 with fixed sides.
, 16, the triangle cannot be distorted, while the knee joint
Is represented as an indefinite rectangle with pivots 6, 8, 10, 11 on fixed sides and vertices
You.
The prosthesis in the extended position is schematically described as on the left of FIG. Upper leg pivot
The shaft 15 and the lower leg pivot 16 are substantially straight. Lower leg pivot shaft 8, 1
Because 0 is higher than the upper leg pivots 6, 11, the two legs 15, 16
It overlaps in the knee joint 17. Furthermore, the mutual distance between the two lower leg pivots 8, 10
Is smaller than the mutual distance between the two upper leg pivots 6,11. Arrow 18 in FIG.
The direction in which the upper leg 15 rotates to bend the artificial leg is shown.
As can be seen from the left-to-right view of the continuous situation shown in FIG.
The length of the prosthesis increases, but as the prosthesis flexes further,
Is shorter than the initial length in the extended position. In this latter position,
The prosthesis can be easily swung forward during walking.
By changing the position of the pivots 6, 8, 10, 11 at the beginning of the bending movement
The extent of the prosthesis extension described above that occurs can be varied as desired.
7 to 11 are perspective views of the knee joint according to FIGS.
Indicated by the same numbers.
The specific embodiments of the present invention are considered to be merely examples and are within the scope of the present invention.
Thus, modifications and other configurations and other embodiments of the present invention are possible.
