Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To spread a negative ion in a room even on an operation of an ionized wind having low air flow and to suppress a generation of ozone by providing a radiation electrode generating the negative ion at an air circuit from a suction port to a blow-off port and operating intermittently a fan for a fixed time at a fixed interval on the ion wind operation. SOLUTION: When the operation is started by selecting a strong wind switch or a weak wind switch, an ion pack 30 is energized and the negative ion is discharged from the radiation electrode 29 and also a high voltage is impressed between the radiation electrode and a radiation counter electrode of a dust collecting unit 25. Then an air purification is executed and also the negative ion is supplied in the room by operating the fan 7. Then, when a windless switch is selected, the fan is stopped and the operation of only fine ionized wind generated by a potential difference between the radiation electrode and the radiation counter electrode of the dust collecting unit 25 is executed, but at this time, the fan is operated intermittently for a definite time at a definite interval to prevent the negative ion generated at the radiation electrode 29 from only remaining around the blow-off port 20.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, this type of air purifier removes dust in the air by circulating the air in the entire room by operating a fan, but in recent years it has been generated by a high voltage without operating the fan. The use of ionic wind to purify air has become popular because it is quiet during operation without the noise of fans and motors. Air purifiers equipped with negative ion generators were also favored because negative ions had an effect on human health and mental health.

In this conventional example,
Negative ions emitted from the negative ion generator travel around the room by blowing air during forced operation by the fan, but when operating only with ion wind, the amount of ion wind is extremely small compared to the volume of the fan. It was not possible to spread the negative ions generated from the room evenly throughout the room. In addition, since the amount of air generated by the ion wind is small, the concentration of ozone, which is harmful to the human body, is locally increased only around the air purifier due to its sterilizing action generated between the electrodes of the electrostatic precipitator. there were.

In order to solve the above-mentioned drawbacks, the present invention focuses on this point. In particular, the present invention has a structure in which a housing is provided with a pre-filter, an electrostatic dust collecting unit, and a fan. In an air purifier capable of selecting an ion wind operation in which the forced operation and a fan are stopped and an ion wind generated by the electrostatic dust collection unit is operated, a suction port provided in the housing is connected to an air outlet. A radiation electrode for generating negative ions is provided in the air supply path, and the fan is operated intermittently at a constant interval for a predetermined time during the ion wind operation. In the ion wind operation, an intermittent operation for stopping the operation of the electrostatic dust collection unit at a constant interval for a predetermined time is performed.

When the operation switch 36 is pressed and the strong wind switch 37 or the weak wind switch 38 is selected, the ion pack 30 is turned on.
And the potential of the radiation electrode 29 is minus about 8000 V
As a result, negative ions are emitted from the radiation electrode 29, the dust collection pack 28 is energized, and a DC voltage of about 4000 V is applied between the discharge electrode 23 and the discharge counter electrode 24, so that the fan 7 starts operating in strong or weak wind. The negative ions are supplied to the room together with normal air cleaning.

Next, if the windless switch 39 is selected, the fan 7 is stopped and the operation is switched to only the fine ion wind generated by the potential difference between the discharge electrode 23 and the discharge counter electrode 24 of the dust collection unit 25. A quiet operation without noise of the fan 7 and the blower motor 6 starts, but the amount of ion wind is extremely small compared to the amount of air of the fan 7, so that negative ions generated at the radiation electrode 29 only drift around the outlet 20. In order to prevent this, the fan 7 is intermittently operated only once for about 30 minutes for about one minute so that negative ions can be distributed throughout the room.
