Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a working time and to improve the working efficiency by pressing a press die to form a prescribed ridge-shaped unevenness against a side end face of a metallic plate in parallel to a surface of the metallic plate which is a work and forming a prescribed continuous ridge-shaped unevenness on the surface of the metallic plate. SOLUTION: A press die 1 is headened with a prescribed continuous ridge- shaped unevenness 2 cut in its side surface. The press die 1 is mounted on an elevating/lowering base 4 for a guide, and the press die 1 is pressed against a side end face of a metallic plate 3 in parallel to the surface of the metallic plate 3 which is a work fixed to a fixing piece 5. The appropriate number of the pressings is one to three as necessary. The prescribed continuous ridge- shaped unevenness can be formed on the surface of the metallic plate 3, the working time can be greatly shortened, the working efficiency can be greatly improved in an appropriate manner for mass production, and the working cost can be reduced.

2. Description of the Related Art When a metal plate as a connecting plate is joined to a connection portion where metal plates are continuously connected and bolted together, the connecting plate is connected so as to bite into the metal plate as a base material. It is effective to use a metal plate which is formed by subjecting a joint surface of a metal plate to a continuous mountain-shaped unevenness process. Further, there may be a case where the surface of the metal plate is desired to be subjected to continuous mountain-shaped unevenness simply for the purpose of decoration or other necessity. The shape of the continuous crest-and-groove may be a pointed tip or may have a rounded waveform.

[0004] However, if cutting is performed using a cutting tool to form continuous mountain-shaped irregularities on the surface of the metal plate, the cutting efficiency is poor because the cutting portion is large and the cutting operation requires a lot of time. The cost was undeniable.

In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, in the method of the present invention for forming a continuous concave and convex pattern on a metal plate surface, first, a predetermined continuous ridge-shaped concave and convex pattern 2 is cut and formed. Is pressed against a side end surface of the metal plate 3 in a direction parallel to the surface of the metal plate 3 serving as a workpiece.
The method is characterized in that a predetermined continuous ridge-shaped unevenness 6 is formed on the surface of the metal plate 3 by processing, and secondly, a predetermined continuous ridge-shaped unevenness 2 is formed by engraving. The press die 1 is pressed against the side end surface of the metal plate 3 in a direction parallel to the surface of the metal plate 3 to be processed, and a predetermined continuous ridge-shaped unevenness 6 is formed on the surface of the metal plate 3. Then, by pressing the metal plate 3 on the other end surface in a state where the metal plate 3 is turned by 90 degrees in the same manner, the quadrangular pyramid-shaped mountain-shaped unevenness 7 continuous to the plate surface of the metal plate 3 is formed. It is characterized by the following.
