Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe joint excellent in sealing performance and workability. SOLUTION: In a pipe joint sealed and fixed through an annular sealing material 15 by inserting an inserting port pipe 12a into a receiving port pipe 12b, in the case that the external peripheral part of the sealing material 15 is fitted to the receiving port pipe 12b, a lubricative thermal fusing layer 17 is formed at least on the slidable contact surface in the internal circumferential part of the sealing material 15 abutting against the inserting port pipe 12a. In the case that the internal circumferential part of the sealing material 15 is fitted to the inserting port pipe 12a, the lubricative thermal fusing layer 17 is formed at least on the slidable contact surface in the external peripheral part of the sealing member 15 abutting against the receiving port pipe 12b. The lubricative thermal fusing layer 17 is formed by thermally fusing powder type or sheet type polyolefin resin on the slidable contact surface of the sealing material 15.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, in plumbing work for sewerage, for example, FIG.
As shown in FIG. 1, a method of connecting the ends of pipes 6 such as a PVC pipe or a fume pipe by a pipe joint 1 having a socket having a reduced diameter is often used. The pipe joint 1 is provided with a sealing material 3 fitted in a concave groove 2 engraved along the circumferential direction on the inner periphery of a socket socket into which the end of the pipe 6 is inserted.
Thus, the outer peripheral surface of the end of the pipe 6 is sealed and fixed. The sealing material 3 is made of a synthetic rubber material, and is formed by integrally molding a cylindrical portion 3a fitted into the concave groove 2 and a funnel-shaped seal lip portion 3b on the inner peripheral side of the cylindrical portion 3a. . Therefore, the end of the pipe 6 inserted into the pipe joint 1 has the seal lip 3
b is sealed and fixed.

However, although the seal lip portion 3b has a large bending rigidity when it is closely attached to the pipe 6, the sealing lip portion 3b has a high sealing performance and a high water stopping performance.
The insertion resistance at the end of the pipe 6 was increased, resulting in poor workability. As a countermeasure, a non-hardening lubricant Lb such as grease is applied to the outer peripheral surface of the end of the pipe 6 and the sliding surface of the seal lip portion 3b as shown in FIG. Was reduced. However, in outdoor construction such as burial of sewer pipes, there is a problem that dust, sand, and the like easily adhere to the adhesive lubricant Lb, which significantly impairs the sealing performance and the water stopping property. Then, an object of the present invention is to provide a pipe joint excellent in sealing performance and workability in view of such conventional problems.

The lubricating heat-sealing layer 17 is made of a powdery or sheet-like polyolefin resin.
4, 15 and 16 are heat-sealed to a thickness of 10 μm to 100 μm. The lubricating heat-sealing layer 17 may be a sheet-like film having a uniform thickness, or a film having an uneven shape. The lubricating heat sealing layer 17 is preferably made of, for example, Miberon XM220 (trade name, manufactured by Mitsui Petrochemical Co., Ltd.) Accordingly, the insertion force of the ends of the spigot pipes 11a, 12a, 13a into the seal lip portions 14b, 15b, 16b having the lubricating heat-sealing layer 17 formed on the sliding contact surface is 20 kg or less. A small value is actually measured, and it can be seen that the insertion resistance of the conventional pipe joint shown in FIG. 12 is far less than that of the insertion force of 100 kg or more, and the sealing performance and workability are excellent.

FIGS. 7 and 8 show a third embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 7 shows a fitting groove 33 formed in the inner surface of a receiving pipe 32b along a circumferential direction as a sealing material. An O-ring 34a having a substantially oval cross section is fitted, and the spigot pipe 32a is inserted into the O-ring 34a. FIG. 8 shows an O-ring 34b having a substantially oval cross section as a sealing material fitted into a plurality of fitting grooves 36 formed in the outer surface of the spigot pipe 35a along the circumferential direction. It is inserted into the inner surface of the ring 37. That is, the present embodiment is common in that all the sealing materials are O-rings. Then, on the sliding contact surfaces of the O-rings 34a and 34b, a lubricating heat sealing layer 38 similar to that of the first and second embodiments is formed to reduce the insertion resistance.

As described above, according to the pipe joint of the present invention, the spigot pipe is inserted into the receiving pipe and sealed and fixed via an annular sealing material. A lubricating heat-sealable layer is formed on a sliding contact surface of an inner peripheral portion in contact with the sealing member; Therefore, even in a construction site under bad environmental conditions where dust is easily generated, dust and sand are likely to adhere to the lubricant Lb having adhesiveness as in the related art, which significantly impairs the sealing property and the water stopping property. There are no disadvantages, and the slip resistance at the end of the pipe can be significantly reduced by the lubricating heat-sealing layer, and the lubricating heat-sealing layer is formed at a desired position with a relatively uniform thickness. There is a feature that can be.
