SOLUTION: An aluminum film is fixed by thermal spraying to both end faces 11 of a sintered honeycomb conductive body 10 to form electrode thermal spraying faces 12. Electrode terminal boards 13 are arranged in face contact with the electrode thermal spraying faces 12, the portions of the upper faces of the electrode thermal spraying faces 12 over the upper faces of the electrode terminal boards 13 and their electrode end sections 13a are covered with a metal conductor film 14 by thermal spraying, and the electrode thermal spraying faces 12 and the electrode terminal boards 13 are fixed in the face contact state. The electrode end sections 13 are tapered, and the metal conductor film 14 is uniformly welded with no step even at the electrode end sections 13a. The metal conductor film 14 is connected to the electrode thermal spraying faces 12 through multiple tapered holes 13b provided on the electrode terminal boards 13.

In the above-mentioned conventional electrode of a conductive sintered body, a conductive sheet is interposed between a planar electrode formed by applying a conductive paste or the like to a side end surface of the conductive sintered body. In order to press the electrode terminal plate with a spring, a metal fitting for fixing the spring is required, or the insulation of the members of the electrode terminal plate is required, which complicates the configuration.
Since contact failure and the like due to oxidation of the electrode surface due to heat are likely to occur, an electrode structure with a simple configuration and no contact failure has been demanded.
