隙を生じて包装体内部が包装体外部(外界)と連通する
ようにしたものである。これにより包装体内部は包装体
外部(外界)に開放されたのであり、包装体内部に過剰
に発生した水蒸気はここに確保された経路に沿って包装
体外部へと排出され、破裂したものは皆無であった。包
装体内部に過剰に発生した水蒸気はここに確保された経
路に沿って(すなわち水蒸気の噴出個所、噴出方向等が
規制されていて安全である。)包装体外部へと排出され
るのである。結果として包装体内圧は大気圧とほぼ平衡
に達し、包装体の破裂は回避されるのである。すなわ
ち、本発明の、電子レンジ加熱に適した圧力調整弁を取
り付けた圧力調整弁付き包装体にあっては、電子レンジ
加熱に際して、事前にトレー隅部を少し開封しておくと
か、上蓋フィルムを先の尖ったものでつついていくつか
の開孔を設けておくとかの措置を必要としないため、不
慣れな高齢者等がそのまま加熱処理したとしても安全性
は確保されている。
