Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a case and to improve the operability of dial keys by circularly arranging a plurality of operation keys containing number keys inputting telephone numbers in the outer peripheral part of a case in a main body. SOLUTION: The case 1 of a portable telephone set main body has a size form which is almost similar to a wrist watch. The twelve keys in total of ten number keys and two function keys, which are constituted of dial keys 3 which surround a display 2 at the center and which are provided with a ten key pad 0-9 along the upper outer peripheral part of the case 1, a call key 6 which is depressed at the time of starting a call and a cut key 7 depressed when the call is terminated are uniformly arranged for 360 degrees. The keys showing the respective numbers 1-9 are arranged in the positions of time, which correspond to the respective numbers. Thus, the keys can easily be identified without confusion. Since the keys are uniformly arranged in twelve parts, a number '0', the call key 6 and the cut key 7 are arranged in the positions of 10 o'clock, 11 o'clock and 12 o'clock, the keys can easily be identified in accordance with time.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a portable telephone, and more particularly to a watch-like portable telephone such as a wristwatch.

2. Description of the Related Art Portable telephones such as cellular telephones, PHS mobile terminals, and cordless telephones have been proposed to be miniaturized and to be carried on a wrist like a wristwatch. For example, as shown in FIG. 3, a display 1 is provided on an upper portion of an upper surface of a case 1 serving as a mobile phone main body, and a dial button 3 is provided on a lower portion. The case 1 includes various circuits such as a wireless transmission / reception circuit and a speaker 4 and a microphone 5.

However, in the layout of each part according to the prior art shown in FIG. 3, the case 1 cannot be downsized to the same extent as a wristwatch, and the design is unlike a wristwatch. Claims (3)

[Claims] A plurality of operation buttons including ten numeric buttons (0 to 9) for inputting a telephone number are formed in a ring shape around a display portion arranged on the upper surface of a substantially flat mobile phone main body case.
