Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an overload detecting apparatus by which the loaded weight of a load and the weight balance of the load can be measured precisely without a need of moving a vehicle onto a gravimeter, by computing an output signal from a stress sensing device attached to every axle support part at the vehicle to be displayed. SOLUTION: Stress sensing device 5 to 8 are attached respectively to support parts of respective axles 10 at a vehicle, i.e., to air suspensions 1, 2 at front wheels and the leaf-spring suspensions 3, 4 at rear wheels. Output signals of the stress sensing devices 5 to 8 are sent to a control unit 9, and the control unit 9 computes the output signals. The loaded weight of a load and the weight balance of the load as computed results are displayed on a display 11 and a display 12. At this time, the display 11 is used for a display inside the vehicle so as to display 'the total weight of the load' and the weight values of the load applied to the respective axles 10. The display 12 is used for a display outside the vehicle so as to be used, e.g. as a character display, and it displays that the load is proper and that the load is excessive. Thereby, it is not required to move every vehicle to a place in which a gravimeter is installed, and the weight of the load can be measured precisely immediately after the load is placed.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, the weight of each loaded article on a transport vehicle such as a truck or a railroad wagon is known. Calculating the total weight of the trucks or putting them on a weighing device in the case of a truck, it was difficult to understand the total weight in the case of a connected wagon. In addition, when loading bulk goods such as earth and sand, crushed stones, grains, and liquids, the weight is measured by a weighing scale provided at a specific location.

The stress sensors 5 to 8 use, for example, strain gauge resistors R 1 to R 4 as shown in FIG.
1 , R 2 and R 3 , R 4 are two pairs each,
The two strain gauges are connected (to form a bridge circuit), and the resistors R 1 to R 4 for each strain gauge are inclined by 45 ° with respect to the load direction. Such a strain gauge is attached to a place where a shear force acts on the suspension when an object is mounted. Each of the stress sensors 5 to 8 is connected as shown in FIG. A constant voltage (for example, 3 V) is applied to each of the stress sensors 5 to 8. When a load is applied, the voltage output from each of the four stress sensors 5 to 8 is amplified by an amplifier and sent to the control unit 9. Is output.

FIG. 4 shows a control unit 9. The output signals of the above-described stress sensors 5 to 8 are calculated by a calculation unit, and the calculated data is sent to a discrimination unit. Compare with the data stored in the storage unit. The maximum value of the total weight and the weight of the load applied to each wheel is input in the storage unit in advance. The output signal from the arithmetic unit and the output signal from the storage unit are compared and determined, and the output signal is sent to the control unit. Data is sent from the control unit to the display units 11 and 12. Further, an output signal from the control unit is sent to an engine start system 13, and when an overload or an unbalanced load occurs in the system 13, an engine start key 14 is provided.
To prevent the engine from starting.
Furthermore, an output signal from the control unit of the control unit 9 may be sent to the alarm device 15 so that the alarm device 15 can emit, for example, a buzzer sound.

As described above, according to the present invention, a stress sensor is attached to each axle support portion of a vehicle, an output signal from these stress sensors is calculated, and a load weight and a weight balance are displayed on a display. Is displayed, it is not necessary for each vehicle to move to the location of the weighing scale, and the loaded weight and the weight balance can be accurately measured immediately after the load is loaded on the vehicle. Further, when the switch is locked so that the engine cannot be started when the load is excessive or the weight balance is unbalanced, accidents due to overload can be prevented.
