Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the fixing method of a cathode ray tube to a case by which a small width of the case is selected. SOLUTION: A mount metallic fixture having been originally attached to four corners of a cathode ray tube 1 is cut off and only an earth metallic fixture 12 with earth holes is left while being attached to the cathode ray tube 1. A band 2 is fitted to the cathode ray tube 1. Stationary parts 15, 16 are placed respectively to upper and lower sides of the band 2, and a mount hole 17 is made to them. The band 2 is made so that each mount hole 17 comes to a position deviated from the earth metallic fixture 12 at both ends of the upper and lower sides of the cathode ray tube 1 and fixed to the cathode ray tube. The stationary parts 15, 16 are fixed to each boss 9 by inserting a screw 4 to each mount hole 17 and tightening the screw to a thread hole of the boss 9 of an inner face of a front part of the cathode ray tube 1 to fix the cathode ray tube 1 to a case 3.
