Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily listen to the voice of a communicating party while drowning out surrounding noises by providing a sound collector for collecting surrounding sounds and a loudspeaker for sounding a received audio signal as a voice, generating an audio signal for canceling the sounds collected by the sound collector, synthesizing it with the received audio signal and generating a synthe sized audio signal from the loudspeaker as a voice. SOLUTION: A radio wave from communication equipment on the side of the party is converted to an audio signal by an antenna 1, a reception circuit 21 and a decoder circuit 22 and sent to a synthesizer circuit 34. Sounds around a transmitter are collected by a peripheral sound collector 31 and the audio signal is sent to the synthesizer circuit 34 while inverting its phase through a phase inverter circuit 32 and matching its timing with the original audio signal through a delay circuit 33. The synthesizer circuit 34 synthesizes the audio signal from the delay circu it 33 and the audio signal of the communicating party from the decoder circuit 22 and outputs the result to a loudspeaker 23. Thus, the sounds around the transmitter are drowned out by the sound of the inverse phase generated by the loudspeaker 23 and the transmitter can listen to the voice of the communicating party well.

The communication apparatus according to the first embodiment cancels the surrounding sound by utilizing the time difference of the sound wave propagating in the air, and silences the surroundings of the transmitter. The speaker 41 is installed at a location A remote from the installation location B of the loudspeaker 23 for the speaker to hear the voice transmitted by the communication partner. Here, assuming that the time at which the surrounding sound reaches the ambient sound collector 41 at the place A is a and the time at which the surrounding sound reaches the loudspeaker 23 at the place B is b, the above-described sound passes between AB. The propagation time T is Tp = ba. The time from when the surrounding sound reaches the surrounding sound collector 41 until the sound is processed in the communication device and output as sound from the loudspeaker 23 is Tq. The distance between AB is set so that Tq <Tp. Then, in order to match the timing of the surrounding sound and the sound output from the loudspeaker 23, the delay circuit 33 sets a delay time of Δt = Tp−Tq with respect to the sound signal from the phase inversion circuit 32. Set. Note that Tp is T = L / L where M is the propagation speed of sound in the air and L is the distance between AB.
M, the delay time Δt is Δt = (L / M) −T
Just set it to q.

In the communication device having the above configuration, at the time of transmission, sound is collected by the sound collector 11, the sound is converted into a sound signal, and sent to the encoding circuit 12. The encoding circuit 12 converts the audio signal into an electric signal, and the transmitting circuit 13 converts the electric signal into a transmission signal, and transmits the signal as a radio wave from the antenna 1 to a communication device (not shown). Next, the operation at the time of reception will be described with reference to FIG. The radio wave transmitted from the communication device on the other end is received by the antenna 1, converted into an electric signal in the receiving device 21, converted into an audio signal in the decoding circuit 22, and then sent to the synthesizing circuit 34 (waveform in FIG. S). On the other hand, the voice around the sender (waveform N in the figure)
Is collected by a peripheral sound collector 31, and the audio signal is inverted in phase by a phase inverting circuit 32, so that the peripheral sound collector 31
Then, an audio signal (waveform R in the figure) having a phase opposite to that of the audio collected in (1) is generated. This audio signal is sent to the delay circuit 33 and is delayed by the above-mentioned delay time Δt so as to match the timing with the original audio signal.
(Waveform D in the figure). The synthesizing circuit 34 synthesizes the audio signal sent from the delay circuit and the audio signal sent from the communication partner sent from the decoding circuit 22,
The synthesized voice signal (waveform K in the figure) is transmitted to a loudspeaker 23.
Output to The loudspeaker 23 outputs the synthesized voice signal as voice. Since the voice around the sender (waveform Nd in the same figure) is canceled by the opposite-phase voice emitted from the loudspeaker 23, the sender can hear only the voice transmitted by the other party (the waveform in the same figure). W), the sender can hear the voice transmitted by the other party well.

Next, the transmission operation of the communication device having the above configuration will be described with reference to FIG. At the time of transmission, the sound of the sender (waveform S in the figure) is collected by the sound collector 11, and the sound is converted into an audio signal and sent to the encoding circuit 12. The encoding circuit 12 converts the audio signal into an electric signal,
The transmission circuit 13 converts the electric signal into a transmission signal and transmits the electric signal from the antenna 1 as a radio wave to a communication device (not shown). On the other hand, the voice signal of the transmitter output from the sound collector 11 is converted into a voice signal (waveform R in FIG. 4) having the opposite phase to the voice signal by the phase inversion circuit 42, The signal is delayed by the above-mentioned delay time Δt (waveform D in the figure) so as to match the timing with the original audio signal, and is emitted from the peripheral loudspeaker 44 to the surroundings as audio. Accordingly, the voice of the sender is canceled around the peripheral loudspeaker 44, and the voice of the sender is not transmitted to the surroundings (waveform W in FIG. 4). Embodiment 3 In the second embodiment, the voice signal of the sender input to the sound collector 11 is inverted and delayed and output from the peripheral loudspeaker 44. However, in the third embodiment of the present invention, As shown in FIG. 5, in place of the sound collector 11, the output from the bone conduction sound collector 51, which is a sound collector that extracts the bone conduction sound of the sender as a voice signal, is transmitted to the other party. The audio signal is inverted, delayed, and output from the peripheral loudspeaker 44. When the voice of the sender is extracted from the bone conduction sound transmitted from the sender when the speaker speaks, the voice signal is output to the encoding circuit 11 as compared with the case where the sound is collected by the sound collector 11. Since the time until inputting can be shortened, the time T until the sound is signal-processed in the communication device and output as sound from the loudspeaker 44 is output.
q can be shortened. Therefore, since the peripheral loudspeaker 44 can be installed closer to the speaker,
The quietness of conversation can be further improved.
