Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating the subject garbage to obtain a high-quality compost of low crude fat content by continuously charging a fermentation tank with a fish intestine-contg. garbage and submaterials in specified proportions to perform an aerobic fermentation with no need of exchanging the fermentation mass in the tank over a long period. SOLUTION: A fermentation tank is continuously charged with 100 pts.wt. of garbage comprising pref. >=50 wt.% of fish intestine and other organic matter decomposable through the aerobic fermentation by microorganisms such as common garbage, various lees, sludge and fish meat and 5-20 pts.wt. of submaterials including wood-based submaterials such as bark, sawdust, chaffs, organic submaterials such as rice bran and other kinds of bran and other submaterials such as compost as the product, to perform an aerobic fermentation, effecting the aimed composting. To promote the aerobic fermentation, the fermentation is pref. carried out under homogeneously mixing agitation in the tank, and it is also recommended to continuously introduce air into the tank. A compost thus obtained by the above fermentation for a given period is characteristic in low fat content, specifically, with a crude fat content of <=20 wt.%.

2. Description of the Related Art In a conventional composting method in which fish intestine-containing garbage is continuously fed into a fermentation tank and aerobic fermentation is performed, for example, fish intestine containing Generally, there is a continuous processing method in which kitchen waste is continuously added daily, or a batch processing method in which fish intestine-containing kitchen waste and an auxiliary material having the same weight as this are put into the fermenter every day.

However, in such a continuous processing method, it is necessary to replace all the fermented bodies in the fermenter once every three months to half a year. The reason is that the fat contained in a large amount in fish intestines significantly lowers the decomposition rate of organic substances, and the fermented product becomes clumpy and further fermentation becomes difficult. This phenomenon is particularly remarkable when using highly mixed fish intestine-containing garbage containing fish intestines at 50% by weight or more. In the batch processing method, the size of the fermentation processing apparatus is increased because the auxiliary material is mixed with the raw material for each processing.

In the present invention, the fermentation method itself can be performed without much difference from the conventional one. For example, an auxiliary material is previously charged in a fermenter of an appropriate capacity (for example, 5 kg of kitchen waste).
Alternatively, only the garbage containing fish intestines is continuously charged in a fermentation tank and left for an appropriate number of days of about 2 months to prepare a preliminary fermentation phase. Then, the fish intestine-containing garbage and the specified small amount of sub-materials are put into it. This input is performed, for example, every day, and when it is determined that composting by aerobic fermentation has been achieved to some extent, the fermented body is removed from the fermenter. The amount of the fermented body to be taken out may be appropriately determined in consideration of the fermentation state and the like. For example, the amount is 0.15 to 0.25 times the weight of the fed fish-intestinal garbage. The fermentation temperature is not particularly limited.
About 0 ° C. is desirable.

EXAMPLES Hereinafter, the present invention will be described more specifically with reference to examples. In a fermenter with a volume of 100 liters, 13.9 kg of highly mixed fish intestines containing 50% by weight or more of fish intestines
Was added every day for 60 days and stirred at room temperature while introducing air to prepare a preliminary fermentation phase (first stage). After a lapse of 60 days, 13.9 kg of the high-mix fish intestine-containing garbage was put into the fermentation tank together with 1.2 kg of the product compost as an auxiliary material, and at the same time, 1.0 kg of the fermented body was pulled out from the bottom of the fermentation tank. This operation was repeated for 30 days (second period). After 90 days, the amount of the fermented body withdrawn was increased to 3.0 kg, and this operation was continued until after about 150 days (Third phase).

The ratio of crude protein, crude fat, crude fiber and ash to the weight of the solid content of the fermented product in the first to third stages was examined. The result is shown in FIG. According to FIG. 1, the crude fat content starts to decrease remarkably from the third period, and has become 20% or less after 120 days. The crude protein is also constant in the range of 35 to 45% in the third stage. Therefore, it was confirmed that the compost obtained in the third stage is useful for plant growth. In addition, the method of the present invention has a significantly reduced introduction of sub-materials compared to the prior art,
It contributes to cost reduction.
