Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wind screen which will not absorb water content and prevents wind noises to secure the aural characteristic by applying a water repellent treatment to the wind screen which can removably cover the tip of a microphone. SOLUTION: A wind screen 2 removably covers a microphone main body 1, and the screen 2 is able to secure air permeability although the water repellent treatment is applied to it. Thus, such a screen 2 can prevent the water from penetrating into the screen 2 to protect the microphone, even when a camera is used in rainy weather. Furthermore, the screen 2 can ensure its original functions to prevent the recording of the wind noises and also can record the desired sounds, without spoiling the aural characteristic of the microphone since the air permeability is secured.

However, the windscreen of this type of microphone has a drawback that when photographing in rainy weather, rainwater floods the windscreen and interferes with the sound to be recorded. There has been a problem that the water that has reached reaches the microphone body and breaks down. Also, if the microphone is covered with a rain cover or the like in order to prevent inundation, there is a problem that a desired sound cannot be recorded.
