The operation of the first embodiment configured as described above will be described. First, when power is supplied by the light source power carrier line 7 and the plurality of LEDs 2 attached to the light source unit 1 are turned on by the lighting circuit unit 3 (3a), the light emission center direction becomes the luminance on the light emitting surface of the light emitting unit 4. In order to reduce unevenness, the lighting device passes through the center and is directed on an axis parallel to the central axis in the longitudinal direction of the lighting device main body. Thus, the light emitting section 4 emits light from the light source section 1. At this time, since the light-emitting cover 5 covers the surface of the light-emitting unit 4, glare of the light-emitting unit light is prevented, and the reflection sheet 6 reflects light from the light source to emit light efficiently from below the light-emitting unit 4.

[Embodiment] A handrail lighting device according to the first embodiment is prototyped, and the result of measuring the illuminance is described.
The length in the longitudinal direction of the handrail lighting device shown in FIG.
m, the diameter is 40 mm, the LED 2 has a diameter of 3 mm,
Twenty-four lm / w lens-equipped elements were used on one side. For the light emitting part 4, a transparent acrylic pipe having a diameter of 45 mm is used.
As the reflection sheet 6, a white diffusion sheet having a reflectivity of about 97% was used. The reflection sheet 6 and the light-emitting cover 5 were used in such a manner as to cover exactly the cylindrical half of the acrylic pipe. as a result,
At a point 60 cm vertically away from the center of the surface of the light emitting part 4, 10

The above illuminance value can be arbitrarily changed by adjusting the number of elements of the LED 2. If a higher illuminance value is desired, the number of elements will increase,
If a low illuminance value is desired, the value of the current flowing through the element may be reduced. Further, the LED 2 has a very low energy consumption of about 0.08 W in rating, and has a feature that the element itself has a long life (several hours to several hundred thousand hours) due to solid-state light emission. Therefore, the life of the conventional fluorescent lamp (about 6,000 hours)
Therefore, the number of light source replacements is greatly reduced, and the light source can be used almost without replacement.

Also, since a plurality of LEDs are used,
There is an advantage that the device can be used as it is even when a small number of elements cannot be turned on. When maintenance of the light source is required, the light source unit 1 can be removed from the lighting device main body, so that maintenance can be easily performed. Further, at present, an element having an emission wavelength having a peak in red or green has an advantage that the element is very inexpensive, so that an inexpensive lighting device that saves energy and has a long life can be obtained. In addition, since the LED 2 in the visible region emits almost no infrared light, it is an element that does not have heat. Even if the surface of the light emitting portion 4 and the light emitting cover 5 are gripped in the prototype, no heat is felt, and heat is not generated. The safety was confirmed.

[Second Embodiment] FIG. 2A is a rear view showing a mounting side of a second embodiment of the present invention, and FIG.
FIG. 2A is a sectional view taken along the line BB, and FIG. 2C is an operation explanatory view of the second embodiment. Reference numeral 1a denotes a linear light source unit in which the light emission centers of the plurality of LEDs 2 are attached downward, and is disposed on the central axis of the light emission unit 4 and connected to the light source power carrier line 7.
The light source unit 1a does not necessarily need to be disposed on the central axis of the light emitting unit 4, but in order to efficiently extract light from the lower part of the light emitting unit 4, the light emitting center of the LED 2 should be directed downward and its position should be as small as possible. It is desirable to dispose it near the emission center.

It is made to become. The mounting angle θ is not particularly limited and may be determined depending on the design of the handrail lighting fixture. For example, when it is desired to mount the light source mounting portion 12 directly above the light source cover 5, the mounting angle θ may be set to be 90 degrees. In addition, the length L of the mounting column 13 of the light source 1a.

By the way, the light source mounting port 14 penetrating through the surface of the lighting device main body will be described in detail. As shown in FIG. 2C, the light emitting section mounting port provided on the light emitting section 4, the light emitting cover section 5 and the reflection sheet 6 respectively. 15, a light-emitting cover mounting port 16 and a reflective sheet mounting port 17. The light source unit 1a can be attached or taken out through a light source attachment opening 14. At the time of attachment, the light source attachment unit 13 is attached to the light emitting cover 5
The light source unit 1a
Are aligned with the central axis inside the light emitting section 4. Reference numeral 18 denotes a light source side connector for supplying power to the light source unit 1a;
Denotes a main body side connector. Thus, since the distance from the linear light source unit 1a to the light emitting surface of the light emitting unit 4 is constant regardless of the position on the light emitting surface of the light emitting unit 4, a uniform light distribution can be obtained on the light emitting surface. Therefore, at the time of light emission, the light emitting section 4 has a high degree of uniformity in luminance, and can obtain a good appearance.
