Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the check of the level of the dew-condensed water collected in a drain tank. SOLUTION: In an air conditioner which has a drain tank 23 to reserve dew-condensed water produced in an evaporator within the main body case, the drain tank 23 opposed to a water level checking window provided in the main body case is made a water level indicator 24 consisting of an uneven face, and the wall face part 27 opposed to the water level indicator 24 of a tank storage 26 is brought close to the water level indicator 24, and the wall face part 27 is provided with a colored member 28. Hereby, the tank storage looks bright without light attenuating with the water within the drain tank, and also the section with water of the water level indicator looks colored, and the section without water looks whitish, uncolored, and the check of the water level can be done easily.

When dew water accumulates in the drain tank, light below the water surface of the water level display portion appears transparent because light entering the water level display portion is not reflected by the uneven portions of the water level display portion. Above the water surface, the light is irregularly reflected by the irregularities and looks white. Thereby, the water level in the drain tank can be determined.

Means for solving the above problems are as follows: an evaporator for cooling the air sucked from the air inlet, and an air sucked from the air inlet are provided inside a main body case having an air inlet and an air outlet. A blower that blows air from an outlet through an evaporator, a drain tank having a light-transmitting property for collecting dew water condensed in the evaporator, and a tank housing portion that houses the drain tank formed in a main body case. In the air conditioner, the drain tank facing the water level confirmation window provided in the main body case is used as a water level display section having an uneven surface,
A wall portion of the tank storage portion facing the water level display portion is brought close to the water level display portion, and a chromatic member is provided on the wall surface portion.

Thus, below the water surface, the light entering from the water level display portion enters the drain tank without being substantially reflected by the uneven portion, and the light reflected by the chromatic member is returned to the water level again. The water level indicator appears chromatic because it passes through the indicator. On the other hand, above the water surface, light that has entered from the water level display portion is almost reflected by the uneven portion, and even if it passes through the uneven portion and is reflected by the chromatic member, it is irregularly reflected into the drain tank by the uneven portion. However, the water level display board looks whitish without looking chromatic. Therefore, the water level can be determined by comparing the portion that looks chromatic and the portion that looks achromatic and whitish. In addition, by bringing the wall portion provided with the chromatic member close to the water level display section, the amount of light attenuated when light entering the drain tank from the water level display section passes through the water accumulated in the drain tank. Can be reduced, and the range in which the chromatic member can be seen from an oblique direction through the water level checking window can be increased.

With the above configuration, most of the light entering from the water level checking window 11 provided on the front surface of the main body case 1 is not reflected by the uneven portion of the water level display section 24 below the water surface, and is a chromatic member. The water level indicator 24 is reflected again at 28
, The water level display section 24 looks chromatic. On the other hand, above the water surface, most of the light that has entered through the water level confirmation window 11 is reflected by the uneven portions of the water level display unit 24, and is partially reflected by the chromatic member after passing through the uneven portions. Irregular reflection into the drain tank 23 occurs at the uneven portion. For this reason, the water level display section 24 looks whitish without looking chromatic. Therefore, the water level can be determined by comparing the portion that looks chromatic and the portion that looks achromatic and whitish, and the water level can be easily recognized. In addition, by bringing the wall surface portion 27 of the tank housing portion 26 closer to the water level display portion 24, the light reflected by the chromatic member 28 can be prevented from being attenuated by the dew condensation water in the drain tank 23, and the water level can be checked. The range in which the chromatic member 28 can be seen from an oblique direction through the window 11 can be increased.
