Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive spectacle frame which can be folded flat and short by decreasing the number of components. SOLUTION: An auxiliary temple 5 is connected to a fitting piece 4 fixed to a lens frame 2 so that it can be folded down freely from a rear projection state and also has upward restoring elasticity, and a temple main body 6 is connected to the rear end of the auxiliary temple 5 so that it can be inwardly folded freely from a rear-projection extension state. In the auxiliary temple 5, a means which holds the attitude of the auxiliary temple 5 to the fitting piece 4 and a means which holds the attitude of the temple main body 6 to the auxiliary temple 5 are provided and components are used in common to decrease the number of components.

As shown in FIG. 5, both of the above means are movable in the axial direction of the through hole 9, and the contact member 22 with the cam surface 14 of the first cam member 7 and the second member of the temple body 6
The contact member 23 with respect to the cam surface 18 or 19 of the cam member 16 is contracted between the two contact members 22 and 23, and the two contact members 22 and 23 are pressed in a direction away from each other. A spring 24 for pressing the members 22 and 23 against the corresponding cam surfaces is housed, so that the spring 24 is commonly used for pressing the two contact members 22 and 23 in the auxiliary temple 5.

Of the auxiliary temple 5 with respect to the mounting piece 4
However, the spring 24 can be bent downward at a substantially right angle from the rearward protruding state, and the spring 24 assists in a state in which the contact member 22 abuts on the projection 12 due to the pressing action of the cam surface 14 and the abutment member 22. The rearwardly projecting posture of the temple 5 is elastically held, and the downwardly bent state of the auxiliary temple 5 is held by the straight portion 13a by the passage of the contacting member 22 to the projection 13. When the protrusion 13 passes upward, the auxiliary temple 5 is automatically biased to return to the rearward projecting posture due to the eccentricity of the cam surface 14. In addition, the downward bending angle of the auxiliary temple 5 is limited,
It is also possible to use the contact member 22 under the condition that it does not exceed the protrusion 13.

As described above, since the auxiliary temple 5 is simply folded downward with respect to the mounting piece 4, the structure of the connecting portion is simple and simple, and the mounting piece 4 can be reduced in size. The auxiliary temple 5 does not jump up when folded downward.

As shown in FIGS. 5A and 5B, when the temple main body 6 is extended substantially linearly so as to protrude rearward with respect to the auxiliary temple 5, the concave notch portion 20 of the distal end cam surface 18 is formed. The contact member 23 is fitted, the rearward projecting posture is elastically held, and when the temple body 6 is folded inward by approximately 90 °, the concave notch 21 of the inner cam surface 19 fits into the contact member 23, The folded state is held elastically and the temple body 6

As shown by the solid lines in FIGS. 5A and 5B, the auxiliary temple 5 is bifurcated in a state in which the temple main body 6 is held rearwardly projecting with respect to the auxiliary temple 5. The rear end surface 25 between the pieces 15, 15 and the upper and lower end surfaces 2 of the root portion of the second cam member 16 in the temple body 6
6 is formed so as to allow not only the inward bending of the temple body 6 with the screw 17 as a fulcrum but also the outward opening so as to allow the expanding movement to the outside,
In addition, a space is provided between the rear end surface 25 and the cam surface 18 so as to allow outward expansion.

Therefore, the temple main body 6 is similar to that shown in FIGS.
(B), it is possible to expand outward from the rearward protruding state shown by the solid line to the state where the rear end face 25 and the cam face 18 come into contact with each other, as shown by the dashed line in FIG.
The distance between the temple bodies 6 on both sides is variable from the solid line in FIG. 2 to the outside as shown by the dashed line in FIG. 2. The temple body 6 expanded to the outside is brought into contact with the contact member 23 pressed by the spring 24 and the cam. Due to the action with the concave notch 20 of the surface 18, FIG.
As shown by the solid line, the auxiliary temple 5 has an inward return elasticity to return to a substantially linear protruding posture rearward.

As described above, if a mechanism for expanding the temple body 6 outward is added to the connection portion where the temple body 6 is folded inward, the rear end face 25 and the cam face It is only necessary to set the relationship 18 slightly outwardly, and the structure can be simplified.

The spectacle frame of the present invention has the above-described structure. As shown in FIG. 1, if the auxiliary temples 5 on both sides are folded downward and the temple body 6 is folded inward, the lens frames 2, 2 The temple body 6 extends along the lower part of the frame, and the entire frame 1 is in a flat folded state.

At this time, the contact member 22 of the auxiliary temple 5
Passes through the projection 13 of the first cam member 7 and
a, the downward bending of the auxiliary temple 5 is maintained, and the second cam member 1 of the temple body 6 is held.
6 is engaged with the contact member 23,
The inward bending of the temple body 6 is maintained.

At the time of folding, if the auxiliary temple 5 is bent to a position where the contact member 22 does not exceed the projection 13 of the first cam member 7, the auxiliary temple 5 always has a rearward projecting elasticity. If the spectacle frame is stored in a thin case in this state, when the case is unlocked, the auxiliary temple 5 of the frame automatically projects backward and the case is pushed open, and the case is opened. The eyeglass frame can be easily taken out from inside.

When the frame 1 is worn, as shown in FIG. 2, the auxiliary temple 5 and the temple main body 6 are extended rearward so as to protrude, and the temple main body 6 has elasticity to expand outward. So it fits softly on the face and won't hurt even if worn for a long time.

As described above, according to the present invention, the auxiliary temple is connected to the mounting piece provided on the lens frame so as to be freely foldable downward, and the temple body can be freely folded inward to the auxiliary temple. In the spectacle frame connected so that the auxiliary temple, the means for holding the rearward projecting posture of the auxiliary temple, and the means for maintaining the rearward projecting posture of the temple main body and the inward folding posture relative to the auxiliary temple in the auxiliary temple. Since the components are provided, some of the components of both holding means can be shared, the cost can be reduced by simplifying the structure and the number of components, and the assembling work can be simplified.
