Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drop all of plant-cultivating containers between rack rails to hold the containers without requiring much labor therefor and to prepare rack devices of various sizes at low cost. SOLUTION: A rack device is provided with a plurality of longitudinally spaced rack rails 6, longitudinally extending right and left support members 9 supporting both ends of each rack rail 6, and longitudinally extending right and left pressure members 7 pressing both ends of each rack rail 6 from above. The rack rail 6 is formed by longitudinally spaced vertical walls and a horizontal wall connecting the upper ends of the vertical walls together. A number of grooves 11a in which the vertical walls of the rack rail 6 are fitted are formed in each support member 9, and the support members 9 and the pressure members 7 are fixed together using fixing means 13, 14 so that the rack rails 6 are sandwiched between the support members 9 and the pressure members 7 while the interval between the adjacent rack rails 6 is adjusted so that the flange of a cultivating container dropped between the rack rails 6 can be supported by the rack rails.

Furthermore, since the shelf and the shelf holding member are integrally fixed, there is a problem that even if a part of the shelf device is damaged, the entire shelf must be replaced. In addition, since the shelves are integrally fixed, the degree of freedom with respect to the dimensions of the shelves is small. That is, if shelves of various sizes are prepared, shelves of various sizes are individually prepared. Therefore, there is a problem that each shelf device is expensive.

According to the shelf apparatus of the present invention, the spacing between adjacent shelf bars can be freely changed, so that even when holding plant cultivation containers of various sizes, each cultivation vessel can be cultivated. By adjusting the distance between the adjacent shelves to match the containers, all the cultivation containers can be dropped and held at the distance between the shelves. Therefore, if the shelf device is fixed to the shelf receiver, the cultivation container will not fall due to a strong wind or an earthquake.

Further, since the shelf device of the present invention is constituted by combining the supporting member, the pressing member and the shelf bar by the fixing means, a longer supporting member, a pressing member and the shelf bar are prepared, and each of them is provided with an appropriate one. By cutting to a length, the width and length of the shelf device can be changed easily and inexpensively. Therefore, it is possible to easily and inexpensively provide a shelf device having a size suitable for the size of the column supporting the shelf device. Further, even when a part such as a shelf bar is damaged, only the damaged part may be replaced.
