Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To significantly reduce the manufacturing cost for a stator and enhance the efficiency of a motor, by immersing a cylindrical core in molten insulating agent to form a film composed of the insulating agent on the surface of the cylindrical core. SOLUTION: A core 3 is immersed in a molten insulating agent 21, such as polyimide, epoxy, stored in a bath 2, and a film composed of the insulating agent 21 is thereby formed on the surface of the core 3. Since an insulating film is thus formed on the inner surfaces of slots 4, an insulating film for providing insulation between windings and a core is obviated, and cost therefor, trouble and time required for placing such an insulating film can be saved. Therefore, the manufacturing cost for a stator can be significantly reduced. In addition, the number of windings in the slots 4, that is, space factor, is increased, and thus the efficiency of the motor is enhanced. When the motor is housed in the sealed housing of a hermetically sealed compressor, current leaking from the circumference of the core 3 to the sealed housing can be reduced.

[0003] The electric motor 100 comprises a stator 1 and a rotor 2. The stator 1 is configured by winding a large number of windings 5 around a cylindrical core 3 formed by laminating a large number of thin electromagnetic steel sheets through a plurality of slots 4 provided at predetermined intervals in a circumferential direction thereof.

In the above-mentioned conventional electric motor, as shown in FIG. 3, after an insulating film 11 is provided on the inner surface of the slot 4, the winding 5 is wound around the core 3, and then the winding is wound. Since the insulation between the winding 5 and the core 3 is insulated by inserting the insulating film 12 at the entrance side of the wire 5, there is a problem that the production of the stator 1 is troublesome and time-consuming, and the cost is increased.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS An embodiment of the present invention is shown in FIG. The core 3 is immersed in an insulating agent 21 such as polyimide, senyol, epoxy or the like stored in a bath 20 in a molten state to form a coating made of the insulating agent 21 on the surface of the core 3. Other structures are the same as the conventional one shown in FIG.

However, since an insulating film is formed on the inner surface of the slot 4, insulating films 11 and 12 for insulating the winding 5 and the core 3 from the conventional one are not required. Since the number of steps and time required for the interposition can be omitted, the manufacturing cost of the stator 1 can be greatly reduced.
