21の上方部21aと接続されている第一ブレーキシュ
ー22が、テープ7巻き取り用の回転ドラム3のディス
ク周縁31に押圧されてテープ7に制動がかかる。(図
3を参照) また、テープ7を停止状態のまま維持させたい時は、ケ
ース前壁13に設けられている制動操作部21の下方部
21bを、テープ7の出入口6方向に移動させる。これ
により、制動操作部21の下方部21bと接続されてい
る第二ブレーキシュー23が、テープ7と接触しテープ
7に制動がかかり、テープ7をその位置に停止させたま
ま維持する。(図3を参照)

【効果】本発明の巻尺は以上のように、それぞれ異なる
機能を持つ制動装置の制動操作部を巻尺のケース前壁に
集設してあり、操作者は状況にあった制動を選択して通
常のケース保持状態のままで制動操作を行える。テープ
を一時的に停止させたい時や引き込みスピードを減速さ
せ引きだし長さを調整したい時、あるいはテープを引き
出し状態のまま維持させたい時など、巻尺を保持する手
のの位置を変えること無しに同一状態で操作でき、巻尺
を確実に支持することができる。また、それぞれの制動
装置の制動操作部を一つの制動操作部で共用しているた
め、部品点数の軽減や製造コストの点でも有利である。
そして、テープの制動操作を安全且つ容易にすることが
できると共に、テープの制動コントロールを的確に行う
ことができる。

ラムを軸支し、この回転ドラムにテープを巻き込み方向
に付勢する付勢手段を内装した巻尺に於いて、ケース前
壁にケース内方に押し込み可能であり且つ上下動可能な
制動操作部を設けると共に、該制動操作部を押し込むこ
とにより回転ドラムに接触する第一のブレーキシュー
と、該制動操作部を下げることによりテープの出入口の
背後でテープに接触する第二のブレーキシューとを同制
動操作部に接続させたことを特徴とする巻尺
