のような陥没現象を防止する方法として外筒部13の厚
みを増して下面の面積を大きくすることが考えられる
が、厚みが増えると外筒部13を内側に倒し込み加工を
するのが困難であった。また、アルミ製のナットとして
直接溶接する方法や、鉄ナットをアルミ製ケースで覆う
とともに該ケースをアルミ板にスポット溶接して鉄ナッ
トを固定する方法も考えられるが、いずれも作業手順の
煩雑化とコストアップを招き実用化には向かないもので
あった。

大きく陥没することがなく、設計とおりにピアスナット
が装着されるとともに、この締結状態を長期間にわたっ
て維持できることとなる。この結果、変形しやすい被締
結部材10であるにもかかわらず、なんら変形を生ずる
ことなく寸法精度の優れた製品が得られることとなる。
