Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a dentifrice composition with excellent Streptococcus mutans inhibitory effect as well as dentin strengthening ability, therefore high in dental caries preventive effect. SOLUTION: This dentifrice composition is obtained by formulating fluoride(s), a chlorhexidine salt, and xylitol; wherein the fluoride(s) is at least one kind among sodium monofluorophosphate, odium fluoride, stannous fluoride, or a combination thereof, the concentration in terms of fluorine being <=1,000 ppm; the chlorhexidine salt is chlorhexidine gluconate or chlorhexidine hydrochloride, its concentration being 0.01-1.0 wt.%; and the xylitol is <=15 wt.% in concentration, pref. accounting for >=50 wt.% of the total sweeteners formulated.

は、一時的な殺菌効果はあるものの歯質に対する強化が
劣るため、長期的なう蝕予防効果としては未だ充分では
なかった。

組合わせて用いるのが最適である。そのフッ素としての
濃度は、1000ppm以下に留めるのが安全性の面か
ら望ましい。
