Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid a short-circuit failures, even if a conductive metallic part is brought into contact with a charging terminal. SOLUTION: A charger has a charger main part 1 which has a charging circuit 5 and a pair of charging terminals 6 and 7 connected to the charging circuit 5. The respective charging terminals 6 and 7 have elastically deformable outer terminal plates 13 and inner terminals 14, which face each other with predetermined spacings. The inner terminal plates 14 are connected to the charging circuit 5. Electrodes 13a protruding from the outer terminal plates 13 are made to protrude out through a through-holes 17 formed in the charger main part 1. A cordless handset 3 is set on the charger main part 1, and charged terminals 9 and 10 are brought into contact with the electrodes 13a. With this constitution, the outer terminal plates 13 are elastically deformed and brought into contact with the inner terminal plates 14 and a charge current is applied to a battery 8 in the cordless handset 3 from the charging circuit 5.

As an example of a technique for solving the above problem, there is one disclosed in Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open No. 5-23653. This is because the circuit for connecting the charging terminals 6 and 7 and the charging circuit 5 includes a switch for preventing short-circuit accident which is always off, and the cordless handset 3 is housed in the housing recess 2 so as to be connected. The switch is turned on by a projection provided on the cordless handset 3, and the battery 8 is supplied with electricity from the charging circuit 5.

According to the above configuration, even if the conductive metals 11 such as pins and clips come into contact with the charging terminals 6 and 7, the switch is always off, so there is no danger of a short circuit occurring. . However, in this case, the switch is interposed in the circuit, so that the number of parts increases and the manufacturing cost increases.

Another example of a technique for solving the above-mentioned problem is disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. Hei 4-200046.
This is because a convex portion is protruded from the side surface of the storage concave portion 2 and
A concave portion that fits into the convex portion is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the cordless handset 3.
By being housed inside, the concave portion fits with the convex portion,
The terminals to be charged 9 and 10 provided in the concave portion are brought into contact with the charging terminals 6 and 7 provided on the lower surface of the convex portion.

According to the above configuration, since the charging terminals 6 and 7 are provided on the lower surface of the convex portion, there is no possibility that the conductive terminals 11 such as pins and clips come into contact with the charging terminals 6 and 7. . However, the provision of the protrusions and recesses complicates the external shape of the charger main body 1 and the cordless handset 3, and the shapes of the molds for molding them are naturally complicated, and the cost of the mold is high. .

1. A charger main body comprising a charging circuit and a pair of charging terminals connected to the charging circuit, wherein the charging target body is provided on the charging target body by setting the charging target body on the charger main body. In a charger in which a pair of terminals to be charged are connected to the respective charging terminals and the charging circuit supplies electricity to the battery in the object to be charged, the charging terminals are elastically deformed to face each other at a predetermined interval. It has a possible outer terminal plate and an inner terminal plate, the inner terminal plate being connected to the charging circuit, and an electrode protruding from the outer terminal plate passing through a through-hole penetrating through the charger body. A charger protruding to the outside, wherein the charged terminal is brought into contact with the electrode, whereby the outer terminal plate is elastically deformed and comes into contact with the inner terminal plate.
