2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, in a label such as a cassette tape or the like, luminous printing is performed so that the contents written on the label can be read even in the dark, and a writing receptive surface or a separate writing receiving layer is provided on the surface. There is. Normally, this type of luminous label is generally a white paper as a base material and luminous printing is performed on the surface thereof. Since sufficient reflection by the base material can be obtained, there is no problem in reading the contents. However, in recent years, a material using a transparent PET material has been used as the base material of the phosphorescent label in order to give the label a high-grade appearance.
Alternatively, a luminous print layer is provided directly on a case such as a transparent resin half or MD cartridge of a cassette tape. However, when a transparent substrate or a transparent case is used, the light emission of the luminous printing layer is scattered by the transparent substrate or the resin, and the afterglow luminance is reduced. To cope with this, Japanese Patent Application No. 9-0356
In No. 74, when performing luminous printing on a transparent or translucent half, case, or transparent case such as a cartridge, a light reflecting layer is provided on the surface opposite to the observation side of the luminous printing layer of the case to store light. It has been proposed to improve the afterglow brightness of the print. In particular, the afterglow luminance can be improved by printing the light reflection layer with a white ink having good concealing properties.

In the case of phosphorescent printing, the thicker the thickness, the higher the afterglow luminance.
Since it is as thick as 0 μm and performs thick printing that cannot be considered in ordinary color printing, advanced printing techniques are required or the cost is high. Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a phosphorescent printed matter or a phosphorescent label having substantially the same afterglow luminance even when the phosphorescent printing is performed on a transparent or translucent substrate or label, even if the thickness is smaller than that of the related art. It is intended. Another object of the present invention is to provide a luminous printed matter or label in which the luminous printing section can be easily confirmed.

As described above, the following operation can be obtained by printing with an ink containing a luminous pigment added to the ink forming the light reflecting layer and then performing luminous printing on the upper surface thereof. 1. If the thickness is the same level as that of the related art, the afterglow luminance can be improved. 2. If the same luminance as that of a conventional label is targeted, the present invention makes it possible to reduce the thickness of the luminous printing layer, thereby simplifying the thickness control during printing. Furthermore, it leads to cost reduction. 3. By adding the luminous pigment to the light reflection layer, afterglow can be confirmed from the opposite side of the luminous printing section observation surface, so that the location of the printed matter can be easily searched as compared with the related art.

As the light reflecting layer, a paint containing a white pigment is used, and a luminous pigment is mixed with the paint. As a paint containing a white pigment, a white ink or a highly reflective ink into which titanium white, calcium carbonate powder, aluminum powder, aluminum scale powder or the like is kneaded can be used. The blending ratio of the luminous pigment in the ink forming the light reflecting layer is preferably in the range of 10 to 25% with respect to the total of 100% of the ink. If the amount is too small, a sufficient light emission reinforcing effect on the phosphorescent print layer cannot be obtained. If the amount is too large, the effect of light reflection may decrease due to a decrease in the amount of the white pigment, and an effect of saving the luminous pigment cannot be expected.

The mixing ratio of the luminous pigment in the luminous ink for forming the luminous printing layer is 50% with respect to 100% of the total amount of the ink.
A range of about 80% is desirable. If the amount is too small, the luminance and the light storage time are not sufficient. If it is too large, printability cannot be obtained.

As a printing method of these layers, when printing on a cartridge such as a half of a cassette or MD, it is desirable to perform PAD printing which is a representative of intaglio printing.
On the other hand, in the case of luminous printing, screen printing is generally used as a printing method on a label or the like in consideration of the size of a luminous pigment.
However, considering printing efficiency, flexographic printing using a letterpress rotary printing machine may be used. The order of the printing layers is
Although it differs depending on the printing portion of the printing medium, it is premised that printing is performed so that the surface on which the phosphorescent printing section can be observed is the uppermost surface and the light reflecting layer is formed on the lower surface. To form a luminous printing section on the surface of a substrate such as a cassette half,
First, the light reflecting layer is printed, and then the luminous printing layer is printed.
In order to form a luminous printing portion on the inner surface of a printing material such as a cassette half, a luminous printing layer is printed first, and then a light reflecting layer is printed.

In the case where the luminous printing portion is provided on the front side, the luminous pigment is formed of coarse particles, and the luminous printing layer has a large surface roughness. A receiving ink may be printed to form a writing receiving layer. In the case of a luminous label, it is usually necessary to write on the surface of the luminous printing layer, and for the purpose of improving poor writability resulting from the surface roughness peculiar to luminous printing, similarly, if necessary, transparent writing may be necessary. A receiving ink may be printed to form a writing receiving layer. The luminous printing portion and the writing receiving layer of the luminous label can be formed from a transparent resin binder mixed with protein, starch or wood-based cellulose powder. Wood-based cellulose powder is, for example, defatted fibers of wood, cotton, hemp, etc., boiled with a dilute alkali solution, and then pulverized so as to be easily formed into ink. Since wood-based cellulose has defatted fibers, it is excellent in water absorption (hydrophilicity) and improves writing acceptability.

Embodiment 1 A specific embodiment of the phosphorescent label shown in FIG. 3 will be described. 1. As a printing substrate, a tack label having a film made of a transparent PET material as a base material, having an adhesive layer on the back surface, and further provided with a separate paper for peeling was used. 2. For the phosphorescent pigment, use “N night light” and adjust the pigment particle size to D50.
= 10 to 20 µm, D90 = 35 to 45 µm, and a relatively small pigment was used as the luminous pigment. Here D50,
D90 refers to the particle size at 50% and 90% when the cumulative weight% from the smaller particle size is plotted against the particle size. 3. As the ink of the light reflecting layer, a white ink (containing titanium white) was used as a base, and a luminous pigment was added thereto. The mixing ratio is as shown in Table 1. 4. Table 1 shows the mixing ratio of the luminous ink in the luminous printing layer. 5. In the printing method, one by one printing was performed by screen printing which is generally performed in printing of tack labels and the like. 6. Since this example is a tack label that can be filled in on a cassette tape or the like to fill in necessary items, a nearly transparent top coat layer (writing receiving layer) with wood-based cellulose added as a writing receiving agent on the upper surface of the phosphorescent printing Was printed. Since the writing receiving layer was not the subject of the present invention, the writing property was not tested.

Printing was carried out using the inks shown in Table 1 of the obtained phosphorescent printing section, and the afterglow level was confirmed. The results are shown in Table 2. In Table 2, the level of afterglow was set to level 10 for the brightest immediately after light reception, and set to level 0 for no light emission. Also, the characters written on the label can be read in a dark place at level 2.5 or higher.

As can be seen from Table 2, the level of afterglow increases when the content of the luminous pigment in the light reflecting layer is up to about 25%, but when it exceeds this, it gradually decreases. It is considered that if the content of the luminous pigment in the light reflecting layer is too high, it becomes the same as simply applying the luminous paint thickly, and the effect as the light reflecting layer is reduced. On the other hand, samples D and E have a higher level of afterglow than those in which no luminous pigment is added to the light reflecting layer, but are problematic because the cost is increased. From this result, it was found that the content of the luminous pigment in the light reflecting layer was 25.
% Is preferable. In Sample C, characters could be read for 4 hours after receiving the light, and the afterglow time was longer by about one hour than before. By the way, when the luminous pigment is not added to the light reflecting layer, the thickness of the luminous printing layer must be increased by 15 μm in order to obtain the afterglow time of 4 hours after receiving light (compare samples A and F).

According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a phosphorescent printed matter having a thinner thickness and the same afterglow luminance as in the prior art, in a label on which phosphorescent printing is performed as shown in Table 2.
If the thickness is the same level as that of the related art, the afterglow luminance can be improved. If the same brightness as the conventional label is targeted, the present invention enables the phosphorescent printing layer to be made thinner,
The thickness control during printing is simplified. Furthermore, it leads to cost reduction. By adding a luminous pigment to the light reflection layer,
Since the afterglow can be confirmed from the opposite side of the phosphorescent printing unit observation surface, the location of the printed matter can be easily searched as compared with the related art.
