Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely feed dust stored in a pad cover to the side of a filter bag by making a turning air current caused by a pad stronger by forming an annular gap to be the discharging path of dust while partitioning it at the outer peripheral part of a pad and providing a dust discharge port communicated with the filter bag successively in the outer peripheral tangential direction of this discharging path. SOLUTION: When polishing operation is performed while attaching a filter bag 11 to a top end part 10a of the dust discharging port, the surface of a floor is polished by a pad 3 to be rotated by a motor 4 at a high speed and on the other hand, various kinds of dust generated by polishing are fed and collected from a dust discharging path 2H of a pad cover 2 through the dust discharging port into the filter bag 11 while being put on a turning air current generated by rotating the pad 3. Further, an outer peripheral edge 6Z of a pad holder 6 attaching the pad 3 is bent downward and a dust collecting effect is improved.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention belongs to the technical field of a floor polisher that polishes a floor by rotating a pad at a high speed with a motor while running by pushing an operation handle. Relates to a floor polisher with a function of collecting various dusts such as pad debris and dust on the floor generated when the pad is rotated at a high speed and polished without scattering to the surroundings. 2. Description of the Related Art A conventional hand-operated traveling floor polisher, in which a pad is rotated at a high speed by a motor while an operator pushes an operation handle to make the floor polished, polishes the upper surface of the pad and its surroundings. By covering with a pad cover, various kinds of dust generated at the time of rotation of the pad are prevented from scattering around.

However, if the pad is simply covered with the pad cover, dust accumulates inside the cover as the driving progresses, and the skirt attached to the lower end of the pad cover is rolled up or caught on an uneven surface or a step surface. If a gap is formed between the floor and the floor surface, there is a problem that dust accumulated inside the gap scatters vigorously together with the swirling airflow to contaminate the surroundings.

Therefore, as shown in, for example, Japanese Utility Model Application Laid-Open No. 5-39457, by connecting a filter bag to a pad cover via a duct, various dusts generated by polishing can be turned into a swirling airflow caused by rotation of the pad. It was conceived to carry the dust through a duct and collect it in a filter bag.

However, only the swirling airflow generated by the pad rotating at a high speed in the pad cover has a small air volume, and the dust accumulated in the pad cover cannot be sufficiently fed into the filter bag.

[0006] Further, in the conventional floor polisher, since the dust is pushed into the filter bag and collected by the swirling airflow generated by the rotation of the pad, unlike the case where the air is sucked by the fan, the dust flows in a direction in which the airflow can easily flow. Dust flows freely, and as a result, the airflow swirled in the circumferential direction by the rotation of the pad may be directed directly into the filter bag, or may be swirled and returned to the pad side again. The generated and returned dust is sucked again to the pad side, or it turns around around it, and the dust penetrates and is trapped in the pad and accumulates on the bent parts of the pad holder and various flanges, etc. In some cases, the efficiency of dust collection is reduced.

In addition, since the dust is collected in the filter bag by the push-in method, there is a problem that the pushing force causes the airflow to leak from the skirt portion of the pad cover and the dust flows out to the outside. .

Therefore, a technical problem of the present invention is to make the swirling airflow generated by a pad rotating at a high speed in a pad cover stronger so that dust collected in the pad cover does not return to the pad or leak to the outside. The purpose is to surely send the dust to the filter bag side to enhance the dust collecting effect.

According to the means of claim 4 described in the above (4), the air passes through the inside of the pad provided with air permeability from the front end portion by the centrifugal force of the pad rotating at high speed in the pad cover. The air is released as a swirling airflow into the pad cover, and at the same time, the suction effect is exerted on the vent hole of the pad holder by the vacuum effect generated between the pad bottom surface and the floor surface. Since the air is sucked from the ventilation holes of the holder through the inside of the pad, the amount of air blown into the filter bag can be increased to enhance the dust collecting effect, and the pad can be prevented from being clogged.
