Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reversely reattach the light source lamp box of a front face projection type liquid crystal projector used both for installation/hanging from the ceiling upside down in accordance with an installation condition. SOLUTION: A reflector 2 is attached at the center of a lamp box 1, and a metal halide lamp 3 is attached so as to align the center of light emission with an optical axis. Connector mounting brackets 5 and 5' are provided at a symmetrical position to the diagonal line of the front face of the lamp box on the upper surface and the lower surface of the lamp box, and a connector 4 at the top end of the power source connection line of a lamp is replaced from the connector mounting brackets 5 to 5' or in a reverse way. A recessed line 11 is longitudinally formed on the rear face of the lamp box, and the power source connection line pulled out from a hole 12 is passed to the upper surface or the lower surface of the lamp box through the recessed line.

装置が据置きと天井吊下げの両用の場合、置き方によっ
てメタルハライドランプの上下が逆になるためアークの
弯曲方向が上下反対になり、例えば、据置きの場合に最
良となるように調整したものを天井吊下げで設置した場
合に輝度の低下あるいは輝度むらが生じ、このため、設
置方法によりメタルハライドランプ位置の調整等が必要
になる。
