Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the safety of operations upon securing a hip supporting fixture which is easily attachable to the existing stepladder by installing a prop and a supporting member rotatably pivoted to an end part of this prop, and constituting this prop by way of installing a key-form fitting to be hitched on a hinge of the stepladder and a hip supporting member. SOLUTION: In order to install a trap hip securing jig in a stepladder, the tip of a supporting member 8 of a prop 6 is passed through in a gap between two footboards installed in an upper end of a ladder part of the stepladder, and then it is hitched on a hinge on one side. Next, a fixed jig is bent, and a key-formed fitting 7 is hitched on the hinge on the other, making it into a service state. When an operator works as being seated at an uppermost step of the stepladder, his body is supportable at his hip part, so that operability and operational safety can be improved. In addition, after applications, in order to store it, the supporting member 8 is folded into the prop 6, and a hip supporting member 9 is separated from the prop 6.
