ョン塗料を使用した場合、染み出し現象が著しく、美観
上問題があった。そのため、塗装作業環境衛生上、火災
防止上あるいは省資源上、問題のある有機溶剤系塗料を
塗替塗料として使用しているのが実情である。そこで染
み出し現象の生じにくい水性エマルジョン塗料の研究開
発が進められており、その一手段として水性エマルジョ
ン塗料に活性アルミナや活性白土を配合する方法が知ら
れている。しかしながら、活性アルミナや活性白土を配
合すると汚染物質の染み出し現象の生じにくい塗膜が得
られるものの、塗料がゲル化しやすく、貯蔵安定性に問
題があった。
