のみを利用した、少なくとも2本のまっすぐなレール表
面が空気ベアリング表面を形成する磁気ヘッドスライダ

報に開示されているような、スライダ後端からは、離さ
れた1対のサイドレールと、その間に1本のセンタレー
ルを持ち、このセンタレール後端に磁気ヘッドを搭載す
る形の磁気ヘッドスライダも実用に供されてきた。ま
た、高記録密度達成のため、磁気抵抗型ヘッドや磁気デ
ィスクの内周から外周にわたってほぼ同じ記録密度とす
る記録方式が使われ始め、これらの性能を生かすために
磁気ディスクの内周側から外周側まで浮上量をほぼ一定
に保ちたいという要求がでてきた。このため負圧力を利
用して、内周側から外周側まで浮上量を一定に保つ方式
のスライダが特開平6−124562号公報や特開平6
−215516号公報に開示されている。そして、記録
密度をさらに上げるために、浮上量をより小さくするた
め、磁気ディスク表面も非常に平滑になっており、その
ために、磁気ディスク装置の停止時に粘着を起こしやす
い状態になっている。また、浮上中あるいは、磁気ヘッ
ドスライダと磁気ディスクとの接触により磁気ディスク
の潤滑剤やグリス等の油分が磁気ヘッドスライダに付着
し、磁気ディスク装置の停止時に磁気ヘッドスライダと
磁気ディスクが粘着を引き起こすことが問題になってき
た。
2. ウン/キャンバー形状は、スライダ中央部分にレールが
存在する場合に比べて粘着防止に対する効果が小さくな
ってしまうという欠点がある。
