Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To treat waste water from an egg treating plant, etc., free from maintenance for a long period by using a compact filter so as to enable it to install side by side even at an existing plant. SOLUTION: This device consists of plural filters F1, F2 provided with differential pressure sensors S1, S2 for detection of clogging, a storage tank T for housing filter washing water, plural valves V1, V2 for switching flow paths and a control part C for controlling the valves. The control part C works the valves V1, V2 to discharge the waste water as water cleaned with the filters F1, F2 and works the valves V1, V2 after a specified time lapses or with a clogging detection signal to wash the filter required to wash with the water cleaned with a washed-off filter and feeds the washed water to the storage tank T and then works the valves V1, V2 to discharge the waste water as the water cleaned with the washed-off filters. Since a waste water treatment is performed, while the filter is washed, the treatment can be performed with a compact filter free from maintenance for a long period.

2. Description of the Related Art For example, dirty water used for washing eggs and the like in an egg processing plant has conventionally been passed through drains and the like without any treatment. Due to the proteins and fats contained in the wastewater, bacteria proliferated and gave off a bad smell. However, due to the special circumstances of the egg industry, full-scale wastewater treatment facilities have not been introduced yet.

F1 is a first filter, and F2 is a second filter, both of which are provided with an organic filtration membrane, an inorganic filtration membrane, and other known filtration materials, and are small and can be juxtaposed in a chicken egg processing plant. When water flows in the opposite direction to the flow of water at the time of filtration, both of these filters F1 and F2 discharge waste collected in the filter medium to the outside of the filters. One end of the first filter F1 is connected to the first valve V1, and one end of the second filter F2 is connected to the first valve V1 by the second pipe 2. T is a storage tank, which is connected to the first valve V1 by the third pipe 3. As the storage tank T, a tank that can be sealed so as not to leak odor is used.
