Description: BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a pipe joint for connecting a branch pipe to a main pipe, and a variable angle pipe joint capable of changing a connection angle after installation. About. 2. Description of the Related Art FIG.
Structures shown in FIGS. 1A and 1B are generally known. That is, the angle-variable type pipe joint has a main body composed of a tubular part 11 connected to the main pipe and a spherical branch pipe receiving part 12 integrally formed at the tip, and an inner peripheral wall of the spherical branch pipe receiving part. The branch pipe receiving member 13 slides along the branch pipe. The branch pipe 16 is inserted into the branch pipe receiving member 13 so that the branch pipe 16 is inserted.
Is connected to the main pipe 15, and the connection angle of the branch pipe 16 can be changed after the connection. Also, if the angle variable range of this angle variable type pipe joint is too large, the water stoppage is impaired, and water leakage occurs. Because of the occurrence, it was as small as about ± 15 degrees with respect to the branch pipe receiving surface. In the conventional angle-variable pipe joint, the connection angle of the branch pipe 16 is set between the receptacle 17 of the branch pipe receptacle 12 of the main body and the branch pipe receiving member 13. Although a gap necessary for the change is provided, there is a problem that foreign matters such as dust and earth and sand enter from the gap, causing water leakage and making it impossible to change the connection angle of the branch pipe 16. In addition, since the conventional angle-variable type pipe joint has a connection angle variable range of about ± 15 degrees, when connecting at a larger angle, pipe joints having different angles must be prepared in advance. Never The present invention does not allow foreign matter such as dust or earth and sand to enter between the pipe joint body and the branch pipe receiving member, thereby preventing water leakage or making it impossible to change the connection angle, and further reducing the connection angle of the branch pipe. An object of the present invention is to provide a variable angle pipe joint that can be largely varied. [0004] A variable angle type pipe joint (hereinafter simply referred to as a pipe joint) of the present invention has a tubular portion connected to the main pipe and a spherical branch formed integrally with the tip thereof. A main body comprising a pipe receiving portion, a spherical branch pipe receiving member sliding along the inner peripheral surface of the branch pipe receiving portion, and a part of the outer peripheral surface of the branch pipe receiving portion of the main body on the branch pipe side. And a bowl-shaped cover member slidable on the outer peripheral surface. Further, the spherical branch pipe receiving portion of the pipe joint body of the present invention, and the branch pipe receiving member and the bowl-shaped cover member disposed inside the spherical branch pipe receiving portion are all arranged concentrically. [0005] The bowl-shaped cover member of the pipe joint of the present invention has an inner peripheral surface that is a part of the outer peripheral surface of the spherical branch pipe receiving portion of the pipe joint body on the side of the branch pipe, preferably the branch pipe. It is formed so as to cover the receiving port and slide on the outer peripheral surface of the receiving port, and a tubular portion for introducing and holding the branch pipe is integrally formed at the top. In addition, the cover member holds the branch pipe inserted into the branch pipe receiving member disposed in the pipe joint main body by the tubular portion, and a gap between the branch pipe receiving member and the branch pipe receiving port of the pipe joint main body. Cover and protect. [0006] The bowl-shaped portion of the cover member is preferably formed to have a radius of curvature equal to or smaller than the radius of curvature of the branch pipe receiving portion of the pipe joint body. It is preferable to adopt a structure that covers 5 to 30 degrees more than the hemisphere of the receiving portion. The bottom surface of the tubular portion of the cover member is joined and fixed to the upper surface of the branch pipe receiving member. Since the cover member covers the gap between the branch pipe receiving member and the branch pipe receiving portion of the pipe joint body to prevent entry of foreign matter, it can be set larger than the conventional gap. As a result, the angle variable range of the connected branch pipe can be up to ± 45 degrees. The cover member of the present invention is provided with a ring-shaped rubber water-stop protection member 7 as shown in FIG. In this case, the rubber waterproofing protection member 7 has a structure that fits into the peripheral edge of the upper end of the opening of the tubular portion 5 of the cover member 4, and has a structure that expands downward inside the opening.
The angle of inclination is preferably in the range of 0 to 90 degrees, preferably 30 to 60 degrees. It is preferable that the inner diameter of the tubular portion of the cover member be 1 mm to 2 mm smaller than the outer diameter of the branch pipe to be connected in order to increase the water stoppage. The branch pipe receiving member disposed inside the branch pipe receiving portion of the pipe joint body is spherical or barrel-shaped having openings at upper and lower sides, and the outer peripheral surface thereof is the inner peripheral surface of the spherical portion of the branch pipe receiving portion. The connection angle of the branch pipe can be freely changed by the sliding of the branch pipe inserted into the inner surface of the branch pipe receiving portion. The branch pipe receiving member has a ring-shaped rubber water-stop member attached to its inner peripheral surface to maintain water-stop between the inserted branch pipe and an O-ring attached to the outer peripheral surface. It is preferable to maintain the waterproofness between the spherical branch pipe receiving portion and the inner peripheral surface thereof. The outer diameter of the branch pipe receiving member is usually
It is preferable that the radius of curvature of the inside of the spherical branch pipe receiving portion of the pipe joint body be smaller by 1 mm to 2 mm. For the pipe joint body, branch pipe receiving member and cover member of the present invention, synthetic resins such as hard polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene, polypropylene and ABS are used, respectively. In addition, rubber-based water-stopping members and O-rings attached to the outer peripheral surfaces of the rubber water-stopping protection member and the branch pipe receiving member include rubber-based materials such as NBR, SBR, EPDM, and silicone rubber, and soft vinyl chloride resin. , EVA or other synthetic resin having elasticity, and furthermore, a contact portion between the pipe joint body and the branch pipe receiving member, a contact portion between the cover member and the pipe joint body, and a water stopping member and the surface of the O-ring. Then, apply a lubricant when connecting the branch pipe. As such a lubricant, mechanical grease, lubricating oil, silicone grease, silicone compound, or the like is used. [0010] The cover member according to the present invention covers and protects the gap between the pipe joint body and the branch pipe receiving member, so that foreign matter such as dust and dirt does not enter the gap. Therefore, it is possible to prevent water leakage and the connection angle of the branch pipe from becoming unchangeable, and to expand the variable range of the connection angle to ± 45 degrees. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS An embodiment of the pipe joint of the present invention will be described below.
This will be described with reference to FIGS. FIG. 1A is a cross-sectional view of a pipe joint of the present invention, FIG. 1B is a side view thereof, and FIG. 1C is a side view of the pipe joint with a different connection angle. FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view showing a state in which a rubber waterproofing member is attached to a cover member of the pipe joint of the present invention. FIG. 3 shows a pipe joint of another embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 2B shows a partially cutaway sectional view of the side surface. As shown in FIG. 1, the variable angle type pipe joint of the present invention includes a main body, a spherical branch pipe receiving member, and a cover member. The main body of the pipe joint of the present invention comprises a tubular portion 1 connected to the main pipe and a spherical branch pipe receiving portion 2 integrally formed at the tip thereof. , A spherical branch pipe receiving member 3 is disposed. The branch pipe receiving member 3 slides freely along the inner peripheral surface of the branch pipe receiving portion 2. The cover member 4 holds the branch pipe 6 with the tubular portion 5 and also covers and protects the gap between the branch pipe receiving member 3 and the branch pipe receiving port 2 of the pipe joint body. Further, in the pipe joint shown in FIG.
At the periphery of the upper end of the opening of the tubular portion 5, a rubber waterproofing member 7 is provided.
Are fitted in a fitting manner to seal the gap with the branch pipe. The branch pipe receiving member 3 is provided with a ring-shaped rubber water-stop member 9 on its inner peripheral surface, and an O-ring 8 on its outer peripheral surface. Is held. FIG. 3 shows another embodiment of the pipe joint body of the present invention. According to this pipe joint, the lower side of the tubular portion 1 of the pipe joint body is formed in a saddle shape. Example 1 A pipe joint according to the present invention shown in FIG. 1 was manufactured. The dimensions of the manufactured pipe joint are such that the inner diameter of the tubular part of the pipe joint body is 1
54 mm, the inner diameter of the spherical part is 200 mm, the distance from the opening edge of the tubular part to the center of the spherical part is 60 mm, and the outer diameter of the branch pipe receiving member 3 is the radius of curvature inside the spherical part 2 of the pipe joint body. The outer diameter had a radius of curvature 1 mm smaller than that of the outer diameter. Further, the length of the tubular portion 5 of the cover member 4 is 50 m.
m, the inner diameter of the cover member 3 was 210 mm, and its peripheral edge covered 10 mm more than the hemisphere of the spherical portion of the pipe joint body. The pipe joint body, the branch pipe receiving member and the cover member were all made of hard vinyl chloride resin and had a thickness of 5 mm. A water stop member made of silicone rubber having a diameter of 164 mm was attached to the inner peripheral surface of the branch pipe receiving member, and an O-ring made of silicone rubber having a diameter of 180 mm was attached to the outer peripheral surface. According to the pipe joint of the present invention, foreign matters such as dust and earth and sand do not enter between the pipe joint main body and the pipe receiving member, so that a water leak defect and a malfunction are eliminated. Further, since the variable range of the connection angle of the branch pipe is large, it is not necessary to prepare pipe joints having different angles in advance. Therefore, the connection operation can be performed simply and reliably.
